Plenty of questions expected from the assembled media but will there be any answers from Enzo Maresca on the Premier League charges? We will find out shortly

Manchester City have appealed.
In a short statement, the club said the commission's ruling contained "clear material errors, of law, principle and fact and is unsafe".
Asserting its innocence, the club added it had filed "a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence [that] exists in support of all of its positions" on Thursday evening.
One section of the Premier League regulations says that an appeal hearing should conclude within 12 weeks of it being heard, and a decision communicated within 30 days of that.
Twelve weeks from last Thursday – when City say they lodged the appeal – would be 24 December.

Sorry but Jeff in Manchester is not a City fan. He is absolutely NOT representative of the views of the vast majority of City fans who back our owners. If we don’t win the appeal, we take it to the High Court to expose the PL.

Sunderland v Brighton (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler provided an update on the fitness of Lewis Dunk and Jack Hinshelwood: "Lewis will be back and Jack trained this week. With him we have to see, it already makes sense to take him into the squad because the next weeks will be busy and we have a lot of games. It is about managing the players and understanding who is really available but not risking anything.
"Overall, these two players are definitely available."
Mats Wieffer, Yankuba Minteh and Kaoru Mitoma are "getting closer but not fit yet" and "hopefully we will see them soon back in the squad".
Longer-term absentee Stefanos Tzimas is "doing well and progressing but it is still early" while Evan Ferguson is "similar where we have to wait some more weeks".
Yasin Ayari is fine and available after picking up an illness while on international duty.
Summer signing Femi Azeez did feature in a friendly during the break, but he will be a late decision following some "minor issues".
Hurzeler added he has no fresh injury issues to contend with from the extended international break.
Sunderland v Brighton (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler was asked about the guilty verdicts handed to Manchester City in relation to breaches of the Premier League's financial rules:
"I can't control anything from that. The only thing I can really focus on is our preperation, how we are doing, and therefore it is just a distraction that is not in our hands.
"Hopefully it will be dealt with but my topic and I have enough topics to mention."
What impact could waiting on the sanctions have?: "Let's see how it's going. What I heard is that there is still some ongoing processes so therefore it is really difficult to say anything now.
"If there is nothing clear we should really focus on ourselves and if there are results we can speak again."
Thanks Jeff.
We're all focused on Manchester City right now but there are other news conferences which are about to get going.
Let's start with Brighton...

As a City fan, it's hard to say, but I would suggest a single, sizable points deduction, a transfer ban for up to 3 years and financial penalties, say a % of revenue/profits for a period, as well as bi-annual auditing by a PL-appointed auditor. Hit the owners first.

Need a reminder?
Man City were found guilty of 114 of 115 charges. Here's what the charges are:
• 54x Failure to provide accurate financial information 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 14x Failure to provide accurate details for player and manager payments from 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 5x Failure to comply with Uefa's rules including Financial Fair Play (FFP) 2013-14 to 2017-18.
• 7x Breaching Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) 2015-16 to 2017-18.
• 35x Failure to co-operate with Premier League investigations December 2018 - Feb 2023.
There have been suggestions by the Times and football finance expert Kieran Maguire the number of charges is as high as 130. BBC Sport has been unable to verify this.
We shall see, Sean. We shall see.
Thirty minutes until Maresca speaks.

Let's be honest this is going to be a very brief Press Conference. Maresca will open by saying he is strictly interested in the football side and unaware of anything else, do some injury updates and then end the conference at any sign of a question related to the charges.

I suppose looking at the picture of Maresca driving his car doing his best Oasis impression all I can say is don't look back in anger.

Is anyone expecting Maresca to say anything other than me and the players are just getting on with playing football? The real test will be to see if City players are affected by the verdict when they enter what will probably be the loudest ever Anfield cauldron.

Thanks for getting in touch!
Right, while we wait for some news conferences, here's a handy guide to the weekend's fixtures.

@Geordie (09:22) that would do nothing to them. They'd probably still get European football, and be back in the Champions League in a couple of seasons via the Europa League. Would you honestly say that would make it not worth having cheated?

Tongue in cheek answer obviously, but perhaps part of City's punishment should be giving Elliot Anderson back to Newcastle since we only had to sell him to comply with the rules they ignored...

Thanks for getting in touch! So, 15 news conferences today, it's going to be busy.
These are the times (in BST) we expect each club to speak. But, as always, not every news conference starts on time!

Punishment should be 100 points deduction but should be spread over 5 seasons. City should start next 5 seasons at -20 points.

Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany on his time at Manchester City: "I'll try and keep the same translation as what I said in German.
"I played 11 years for the club and I've loved all the years I've played for the club. Everything we've achieved and done on the pitch I'm really proud of.
"Everything else, as a player you're not a part of that. And right now as a coach of Bayern Munich I'm not too occupied with that topic as much as preparing for the game next week and the game we have to win tomorrow and everything I have as a coach."
