    Bazoumana Toure (Newcastle)

Two of Newcastle's new signings combine to make it 1-1.

Amar Dedic does really well down the right flank and he provides an excellent cross in the middle, where Bazoumana Traore had got himself in between two defenders to score from close range.

He looks delighted at his first goal for the club.

This has been relatively pedestrian from Tottenham.

Chances at both ends at Deepdale.

Delano Burgzorg has an opportunity for the hosts, but James Tarkowski makes a vital deflection and that wipes out all the shot's power with Jordan Pickford gathering.

What a moment for West Brom as the in-form Isaac Price catches Newcastle United goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen out at the near post with a well-taken free-kick.

Those supporters in the away end are jumping up and down, but manager James Morrison is showing remarkable restraint on the touchline.

    He keeps his arms folded.

    Newcastle 0-1 West Brom

    John Anderson

You have to say it's poor goalkeeping. It's a long way out, the ball travels a long way.

I think the goalkeeper will be disappointed with that.

GOAL - Newcastle 0-1 West Brompublished at 20 mins

    Isaac Price

The West Brom fans high up at St James' Park go crazy after some clever work from Isaac Price gives them the lead.

West Brom have a free-kick 25 yards out and Price goes low, curls the ball around a two-man wall and goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen gets a hand to it, but can't keep it out.

The Newcastle keeper should have done better, but West Brom don't care about that.
