Here comes the third-round draw.

The Carabao Cup third-round draw will be completed soon.

Earlier on, we had the first part of the draw. The eight sides in the Champions League and Europa League will all be kept apart.

Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Manchester City, Sunderland, Bournemouth and Liverpool all have home ties, with Arsenal and Aston Villa away from home.

Who they all face will be revealed soon. There are 16 ties in total. The only Premier League team not in the bag is Nottingham Forest, who lost an all top-tier second-round game against Leeds on Tuesday.

The nine Premier League teams that are playing in Europe - Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Sunderland - all enter the Carabao Cup in the third round.

The final two second-round matches come tomorrow.

These are the teams that have got through so far (numbers listed are their current league position).

Professionalism, efficiency, the big players stepping up for Everton which was important.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was outstanding. I think the hat-trick for Thierno Barry is well needed but it was a brilliant hat-trick and I just think it was a professional performance.

Former Newcastle defender John Anderson is adamant the Magpies won't lose left-back Lewis Hall, who started v West Brom tonight, despite reported interest from Manchester United:

“Manchester United have spent an awful lot of money this summer. I don’t think they could afford Hall. He was excellent again at the weekend.

"He was unfortunate with the penalty at the end but overall he was outstanding and unless Manchester United came in with a ridiculous, and I mean a ridiculous offer, a ridiculous amount of money, he’s not going anywhere.”

All three Premier League teams in action have made it through, along with League One leaders Bradford City. Their game with Burnley ended 0-0 at 90 minutes, with the Bantams winning 4-2 on spot kicks.

I thought Everton were excellent from start to finish.

A tough evening for Preston but I think we expected it and I don't mean that to sound bad in any way.

For Everton it was a big, big result and these players will want to go far in this [competition].

A hat-trick from Thierno Barry and a first Everton goal for Brennan Johnson make it a comfortable night's work for he Toffees as they move into round three.

The first half was pretty even, I thought West Brom were decent.

In the second half we controlled it. We got ourselves in front and you thought we would go on and win the game convincingly.

But then the penalty was given, I don't think there can be many complaints.

Harvey Barnes gets himself a brace tonight and we were by far the better team in the second half. We find ourselves in the hat for the next round.

This could not have gone any better for David Moyes on his return to Deepdale, with Everton 4-0 up and cruising and him able to give some of his big names a few minutes rest at the end.

Two minutes of injury time to go.

Bradford are on the verge of making it to the third round.
