It's a crazy game football sometimes, isn't it.

I'm pleased for Michael Carrick. He has found life so difficult with not knowing who to trust in that dressing room but the Man United players are showing some fight.

  3. RED CARDpublished at 21:51 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 3-2 Roma

Oh dear. That is a daft, unnecessary challenge from Matheus Cunha on Leonardo Balerdi and he's shown a second yellow card.

Two goals, a party in the crowd and a sending off. Quite a night.

That has been the big difference in this second half. You just watch how quick United pass and move, and run in behind.

He's got the option Matheus Cunha of squaring that ball into Bryan Mbeumo in the middle, but he's having none of it with his first goal and the belief that he had, and the confidence, he thinks no, I'm going to have a pop and what a strike it is! There's too much pace on it.

One minute to go in this second half, plus five minutes of stoppages.

Roma threw away a lead against Real Madrid earlier this season in the Champions League too and this has been an almighty collapse compared with their first-half performance.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:48 GMT 3 November

    Man Utd 3-2 Roma

A quite remarkable turnaround after a dire first half.

Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt replace Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire, who looks to be limping a bit.

Matheus Cunha did, of course, go into the referee's book for his celebrations.

    CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.

Matheus Cunha makes it two in three minutes to put his side ahead. Shea Lacey slots it through for the Brazilian, he rides the challenge with a touch to get him into some space and unleashes an absolute beauty into the back of the net from a tight angle.

His shirt is off, he's in the crowd, the roof almost blows off Old Trafford.

Don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing for PSG that they are peaking too early normally they start playing in the ucl when the playoff stage starts.

    Matheus Cunha (83 mins)

    Game on!

It's all square and Roma only have themselves to blame.

The ball comes in and it's not cleared, Leonardo Balerdi completely misses the ball and Matheus Cunha is alert to it and is left with a tap in.

A remarkable turnaround given the situation United were in at the break.

    Villarreal 0-6 Paris St-Germain

Paris St-Germain seemed content to settle for five but three changes from Luis Enrique have given the visitors renewed hunger.

They drive forward again and David Boly lashes the ball in for their sixth. It took a hefty deflection off Villarreal defender Renato Veiga to take it past the goalkeeper.

Suddenly, PSG seem keen to push for more goals.

Villa are a work in progress and as such are not yet ready to play an in form Barcelona away. However the experience will help the team learn and only a fool would bet against them growing into a real force in Europe and the PL.

Manchester United are appealing for another penalty as Shea Lacey is tackled by Wesley close to the byline. There are arguments on the touchline with the fourth official, too, but they won't get the spot-kick because the cross had already been completed before the tackle came in.

    Bayern Munich double their lead!

Moments after Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak makes a fingertip save to push Dayot Upamecano's deflected shot onto the bar, Konrad Laimer rifles in off the woodwork.

He's picked out nicely by Harry Kane, takes a touch to steady himself and then hammers a shot in off the bar. That was about the only place he could put it to beat Oblak.

Meanwhile, Kane has a little under 15 minutes plus stoppage time to score and equal Cristiano Ronaldo's record of scoring in 11 straight Champions League matches.
