Gloucs 152-7 (Bracey 78*)
A real sign of intent from James Bracey as he plays two glorious strokes for four in consecutive deliveries off Jack Morley.
He dances down the track and hits Morely back over his head, before rocking back and cutting the next delivery for four through point.
Another fine showing for the Gloucs man, how often have we seen him dig his side out of trouble.
Notts 142-4
Play has resumed at Trent Bridge, with Josh Davey taking the first over after lunch.
Kyle Verreynne gets off the mark in Davey's over, before crunching a low full-toss for four through the covers off Josh Hull.
Whilst he certainly has a good ball in him, Hull does tend to offer full-balls to get your hands through often enough.
Surrey 25-3 v Yorks 185
Second ball after the resumption Ben Foakes edges to third slip. Will Luxton dives to his left but can't hold a low chance.
That would have been a third wicket for Jack White.
Taylor c Benjamin b Milnes 17 (Kent 238 v Worcestershire 186-8)
What a start to the afternoon by Kent!
It's a bit of a fiddle outside off stump from Tom Taylor who's tickled it through to Chris Benjamin.
Matt Miles just put it there.
Worcestershire losing their grip here. They were 125-2...
Walter b Karvelas 28 (Essex 57-1 v Sussex 275)
Paul Walter has played down a fourth stump channel and the ball has nipped back through the gap between bat and pad to clip the top of off stump.
A decent opening partnership comes to an end and it is one that has done a decent job with Dean Elgar and Walter climbing to a first half century.
The latter will be disappointed to give up his wicket so early in the afternoon though.
Somerset 170-2 v Glam 194
A first over after lunch from Mason Crane goes for six and Somerset are up and running in the middle session with Tom Lammonby moving to 74.
Waite b Hasan Mahmud 17 (Kent 238 v Worcestershire 185-7)
Matthew Waite cleaned up.
Cricket's equivalent of a bullseye as Hasan Mahmud sends the middle stump flipping away towards fine leg.
That shows you that was sent down with some pace. That and it's extravagent movement back into Waite was simply too much for the Pears all-rounder who was a tad late.
Emphatic.
Middx 247 v Lancs 0-0
Keaton Jennings and Matty Hurst are out in the middle for Lancs and Toby Roland-Jones has the ball in hand as we get rolling into the middle session at Merchant Taylors' School.
Essex 51-0 v Sussex 275
Jack Carson, wearing sunglasses, starts the afternoon session with his off spin with Dean Elgar in his sights.
A horrid overpitched leg side delivery is swept fine for four to get the scoreboard moving.
Just an update over the sub situations for these two sides with Dan Hughes unable to play against Surrey next week after being subbed out of this game.
Likewise for the hosts Charlie Bennett will not be able to play against Yorkshire next week (Tuesday).

Prices in the Hollies Stand - which holds almost 6,000 spectators - will cost £165, up from £115 in 2023.

Somerset 128-1 v Glamorgan 194

Somerset look set for a big first innings lead over struggling Glamorgan in front of a healthy crowd in Taunton with Josh Thomas and Tom Lammonby reaching fifties.
Thomas could not go on much further as he chased a wide ball from Mir Hamza with a wild slash and was caught behind.
Surprisingly Mason Crane’s leg spin was the option to replace Hamza while the tall Aussie recruit Connor O’Riordan started by banging in some short deliveries.
Glamorgan look a little speculative in their bowling options with four seamers out injured, but need to halt their alarming slide in form if they are not to get sucked into a relegation battle.
Essex 47-0 v Sussex 275

Despite losing a wicket to the first ball of the morning when Dom Goodman was lbw for 22, the last two Sussex wickets adding 62, largely due to Ari Karvelas making 38 batting at number 10.
Karvelas was released by Sussex last season but signed a short-term deal until the end of the season to bolster the decimated Sussex resources.
Indeed Karvelas was due to take up a school coaching position which has now been delayed by Sussex's plight.
Those resources have been further depleted with the news that Daniel Hughes will take no further part in the game after sustaining an injury whilst batting yesterday, Ollie Crater being his substitute.
However, on a day when batting is easier with the floodlights on and less cloud cover the Essex openers looked very comfortable in reducing the arrears by 47 at lunch.
Hants v Warks 242-2
Another dominant session for Warwickshire after it started 15 minutes late.
They lost Dan Mousley for 77 after a second wicket stand of 148 but that hasn't knocked them off their stride.
Rob Yates has scored his first century of the season and added 80 with Sam Hain so far.
Frustrating for Hants who have put down Hain in the slips and seen a few mis-cued shots fly through the air but not go to hand.
Hants v Warks 242-2
Rob Yates completes the 12th first class century of his career.
This has been an admirable one given that much of it has been played under floodlights in gloomy conditions.
A more attacking approach from Hants skipper Ben Brown might have denied Yates. This morning he edged one straight through the vacant third slip position.
He gets it from the last ball before lunch scampering a single on the off side. It's come off 196 ball including 12 fours and a six.
Nottinghamshire 135-4 v Leicestershire

Image source, ShutterstockAt one stage this morning, Nottinghamshire were 54-0 and going well, on what looked like a pitch that, if you get settled, you can plunder runs.
But that soon turned into 54-0, Josh Davey, Ian Holland and Josh Hull bowling dangerous lengths on a pitch that still offers plenty for the seamers.
Joe Clarke and Jack Haynes looked to be rebuilding, however. They looked composed and dogged at the crease. But Davey bowled a ripsnorting delivery on what turned out to be the final ball before lunch to get a bowling bonus point for The Foxes, and leave the hosts a tad vulnerable.
There is plenty of wonderful batting to come for league leaders Notts, but relegation-threatened Leicestershire are certainly making this a game now.
Somerset 164-2 v Glam 194
Image source, ShutterstockThe hosts have almost polished off the deficit with just another 30 to go and eight wickets in hand.
Five batting bonus points is the ideal scenario given how tight things are with Notts at the top but the win is paramount and they look well placed to secure that at this stage.
The remaining two sessions will be extended with 72 overs left in the day, by the end of which Somerset will be hoping to be nearing 450 you would think.
Four an over would take them there.
Gloucs 138-7
Gloucestershire will be the most happy of the two sides after the morning session.
After beginning the day at 62-5, Gloucs have accumulated 76 runs for the loss of two wickets.
Crucially, James Bracey remains at the crease, composed on 66*.
The home side will be relying on him to get them up to at least 200.
Sharma c Harris b Bailey 0 (Middx 247 v Lancs)
A leading edge pops up to mid off where Marcus Harris nonchalantly takes the catch and Naavya Sharma goes for a duck.
It won't much matter to either side in the grand scheme of things but it will be a mild frustration for the hosts to miss out on a batting bonus point having hauled themselves to within sight of the line.
But in the context of this contest Middx will be happy to have posted 247 given at 177-7 this seemed unlikely.
Tom Helm finishes with an unbeaten and useful 22 while Jimmy Anderson, George Balderson and Ben Walkden all took three wickets.
Surrey 24-3 v Yorkshire 185
Six wickets fell in the morning session and there have been 13 in the match in less than a full days cricket.
Yorkshire resisted for a while but once their eighth wicket stand of 57 was broken up the rest fell quickly with Tom Lawes finishing on four wickets and Dom Bess 44 not out.
The feeling that it wouldn't be easy for Surrey has proven true. Admittedly they scored 21 more for the first three wickets than Yorkshire did yesterday but Jack White and Ben Coad have taken good advantage of the conditions.
Surrey have lost their top three and are up against it.
