    Azan Awais faces all of Gus Atkinson's fifth over, pushing two past gully for the only runs of the over.

  2. Pak 41-3

    Saud Shakeel gets going with a boundary, driving a full ball from Josh Tongue through cover point with a bent knee.

    Tongue then bangs one in and it flies way down the leg side for five wides - nothing that Jamie Smith could do about that.

    He's brought on strike after Azan Awais takes a single from Gus Atkinson's opening delivery, going on to face five dot balls without scoring.

    It is another absolute corker from Josh Tongue.

    I think he is becoming England's best seam bowler. That is quality bowling.

    Getting it in the areas asking questions and challenging techniques. You get the feeling that the door is open now.

    Pakistan have tried their best, but it is just quality bowling.

    There's a mountain to climb for Pakistan.

    Babar Azam departs for eight after edging to Jordan Cox at third slip, who takes catch falling to his left.

    It's a cracking delivery from Tongue, who also drew a faint edge from the preceding delivery, dropping short on that occasion.

    You feel like stopping England getting wickets, but then you look at the scoreboard and think Pakistan have gone nowhere.

    Azam will try put bat on ball a bit.

    Azan Awais has impressed me. A baptism of fire, and he has stuck to his guns.

    The two areas of concern for English cricket over many generations are that we have not found enough spinners. Surely you want a spin bowling guru.

    Fielding has not been our strong point for a long period of time. I would have a spin, fielding and batting guru across the whole programme.

    Having a Troy Cooley across those fast bowling facets is very important for the development of English cricket.

    England have taken two wickets this morning, the first of which came when Jofra Archer had Shan Masood caught behind for one.

    Pakistan's opening partnership of five was their largest of the three in this series.

    The reason why this England bowling attack looks so promising is that they all offer something different; they compliment each other and dovetail really nicely. Very reminiscent of the 2005 Ashes seam attack of Hoggard, Harmison, Jones and Flintoff for me.

    It came to an end when Atkinson picked out Mohammad Ali off the bowling of Ali Usman.
