Time for us to bid you farewell from day two of the second Test at Lord's.

England have closed with an overnight lead of 261, sitting on 81-3 from 22 overs. They were bowled out for 290 in their first innings and then rolled Pakistan for 110 in 37.2 overs.

England's Jofra Archer, speaking to BBC Sport: "Just put the ball in the right areas, and you're going to have one with your name on it. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I am going to be honest with you. I'm a bit under the weather. I had some paracetamols, so the body felt fine. If it felt fine, there was no reason not to run it. I feel better running around. Get some fresh air into the lungs and the sun is good for it too."

On Azan Awais: "Think there were a lot of plays he missed, to be honest. He batted well. He got through most of the day unscathed. He played really well. If you can get through that most of the day, then he should have gone on for a bit more."

On England's fast bowlers: "Everyone chips in. Ollie [Robinson] has been phenomenal since he started again. Gus [Atkinson] and [Josh] Tonguey and everyone is picking up the slack. The bulk of the order is not put on one person. If this continues, we can play longer than expected. Everyone has played here before, so everyone knows what works for them."

Emilio Gay is 30 not out overnight, with those runs coming off 69 balls.

Harry Brook is on seven from 13, having successfully appealed a first-ball lbw dismissal.

England bowler Jofra Archer on Sky Sports: "Yeah, [the lead] is a lot of runs on this wicket. There's a ball with your name on it today, so honestly I'm really happy with the guys and with how we batted in the first innings as well. It looked like it was doing a lot more when they started bowling in the second innings so hopefully we can get another chance to bowl on it.

"It's been like that for a few weeks now [not getting much luck] but you know, you've got to hang in there on a day like this because when they do come, they come in buckets. Like Gus for instance, he got one last game, one this game. When his time comes I'm sure he's going to take a few.

"A few words, yeah [in the battle with Awais]. But more out of frustration. I've never seen someone play and miss so many balls and not get out! But whatever he did, he did it well so fair play to him.

"You just have to bowl whatever you feel is right at the time, and mix it up a little bit if something starts to not work. There was no set plan. Ollie bowled well, he uses the scramble seam more often than not.

"I could probably play until 40 at this rate [with this attack]. It's really nice having the extra seamers in the line-up because like today, I think I bowled maybe 12, and nine in the last game. It's unbelievable when everybody is fit and firing. Each day it will be someone else's turn.

"I don't think the speed gun is accurate in this game, to be honest! It didn't really feel that way. But I remember playing here in the Ashes in 2019 and thinking the same thing, maybe the speed guns are a little bit dodgy here! But I'll take it, yeah it's just the feeling sometimes."

Gus Atkinson and Josh Tongue put on a 10th-wicket partnership of 47 to take England to 290 all out this morning.

Their stand came to an end when Atkinson picked out Mohammad Ali off the bowling of Ali Usman.

Pakistan's Azan Awais, speaking to BBC Sport: "It is a little bit challenging. I survived a good innings and built a little bit of my confidence.

"A lot of challenging innings in first-class cricket. Of course, it is a challenging pitch and challenging batting."

On Jofra Archer's fast bowling spell: "Probably the fastest spell. I enjoyed it. It was a good spell. I enjoyed it because it is first time I faced this bowler. To have pace and accuracy is good."

On development: "Last year, I went with the Pakistan A team and performed really well. I enjoyed this, and it was a great moment for me.

"Learnt a lot of cricket from my seniors. When you're playing international cricket you can observe the things. I just realised the things and pitch held a bit of lateral movement.

On Imam-ul-Haq's injury: "Last game a shin problem."

England bowled Pakistan out for 110 this afternoon, taking nine wickets with Imam-ul-Haq absent injured.

That gave them a first-innings lead of 180, which they have extended to 261 at the close of play.

In English conditions, you have got to have a better defence.

The first Test, Babar Azam bailed out because he had an issue with the finger. I asked him frankly, shouldn't he have been playing?

In a winning environment, in a winning dugout, you tend to do this for the team. When you're in the losing sequence then you become selfish.

Confirmation has come pretty quickly - play has concluded on day two of the second Test at Lord's.

England will hope to extend their lead of 261 tomorrow, although the weather forecast is pretty dismal.

This could be the last over before they meet in the middle the two umpires.

The light is not great. Gone are the day where the batsman would try get the attention of the umpire in bad light situations.

One run off that Muhammad Abbas over as Harry Brook takes a single into the off side.

The light meter comes out at the changeover and the players are walking off.

That, I believe, will be that - it's highly unlikely the light is going to improve enough for us to get back on.
