Razaullah's innings is already the second highest for Pakistan by someone on debut batting at number nine or lower. Rashid Khan, who played a few Tests in the early 80s, made 59 batting at 10 on his debut against Sri Lanka.

It's been thrilling batting from Razaullah. He's got there in only 43 balls and that was his fifth six. It's been wonderful hitting and great entertainment for this crowd. He's kept Pakistan afloat here, they're still going.

Jofra Archer, hands on knees, bends double in the middle of the pitch as the last ball bounces an inch or two over the stumps. Razaullah is beating his bat, I think annoyed he hasn't hit it into the stands.

Back-to-back. 400 up. Jofra Archer looks furious.

This might be the biggest six of the lot! Edgbaston stands for Razaullah.

Pakistan continue to frustrate England. Razaullah is some find. I like his attitude. He can be such a good mood-lifter because he's a tail-ender you can see fighting and putting the ball out to the boundary consistently. Four sixes on his debut shows that he's got the right temperament. He can play this game at the top level.

Muhammad Abbas. Back over the bowler's head. For four.

    Yes, you're reading that right.

It does rather feel like this much-vaunted fab four ought to be able to skittle a debutant 10 who swings big at everything...

Maybe Razaullah will beat Gilbert Jessop's 76-ball ton. Another four takes him to 43 from 39 balls.

It was a good shot. Archer was looking for the yorker.

Muhammad Abbas is in the form of his life with the bat. 13 not out at the second innings at Lord's. 21 and 20 not out here. So he's reached 20 in both innings of this match. He'd only done so twice in his entire Test career in 32 games. His career average has gone up to 8, it was 6.8 at the start of this series.

Jofra's time in the field hasn't improved his mood. He still looks thoroughly unimpressed as Razaullah swings and misses again.

Josh Tongue bowled only three deliveries projected to hit the stumps across his five-over spell.

Joe Root has his serious face on. This partnership is now worth 56.

Muhammad Abbas is hitting sixes now! This is the problem with bowling at the stumps. It's right in the tailender's arc.

It often happens in cricket when you're desperate for a wicket, it doesn't come your way. Especially when the tail-enders dig in and get lucky, the frustration increases.

Four more to Razaullah. There's nothing lucky about this. It's a classy back-foot punch.

Those cheers you can hear are from Andy in Surrey, who got in touch yesterday about his day four birthday tickets.

More frustration for Josh Tongue and England, there's some hands on heads right now. Jofra Archer's got his hand over his face giggling a bit, even Joe Root's stifling a little smile. It's a short, hostile delivery and Abbas just gets it over the slips.
