This feels like one of the biggest moments of his career - firstly because of what he's come back from and secondly because of what awaits.

There is pressure - and I know he is feeling it - but that is good because you have got to be nervous, switched on and up for it.

    On becoming unified champion again...

It will be very challenging but I've done it before. It took me 13 years to become unified.

Saturday for me is massive. It means a lot, a lot of pressure. If I get through with flying colours, it puts me on track. It's a hard road.

  9. 'I need a step up'published at 23:12 BST 25 July

Sheeraz beats Zachenhuber by majority decision

Hamzah Sheeraz, speaking after his victory: "I got the win, that's all that matters. I could sit here and make a million excuses but I will definitely be better in the next fight. I'm sure everyone is chomping at the bit now.

"I think I just need a step up, [fight] someone who is going to present a challenge mentally. I was listening to Andy [Lee] and switching off at times. When you are comfortable and you haven't got a threat in front of you, I can tend to fall in to them habits. Hopefully, we get a big fight next.

"I knew it wasn't good but I didn't think it was that bad [to get a draw on the scorecard]. It's back to the drawing board. It was a quick turnaround but I needed that. I needed the rounds. On to bigger and better things.

On what is next: "I will be there [for Canelo Alvarez's next fight]. I am sure people are chomping at the bit after that performance, so let's make the big one happen.

"[I want to fight] Any of the champions. You've got a good fighter in Jacob Bank, who I think deserves his shot at the title now. Spencer is both of our managers so I'm sure that's an easy fight to make next."
