Terri Harper, speaking after her victory: "One of the best performances of my career, I'm very happy with that. You can't get rid of me this easily!

"This journey I've been on, I'm grateful to MVP for bringing me back so soon. I am excited for what's next. It's way too early [to say goodbye], I've got a lot to give yet."

  3. Itauma faces his toughest testpublished at 20:20 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

In Filip Hrgovic, Moses Itauma faces his toughest test in a boxing ring.

El Animal has 20 wins from 21 fights - his sole defeat came against Daniel Dubois in June 2024 due to a bad cut.

Hrgovic has since gone on to fight three Brits - Joe Joyce, David Adeleye and David Allen - and won them all.

  4. 'One of Moses' easiest nights'published at 20:18 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

Prince Naseem Hamed - former featherweight world champion...

Hrgovic right now is possibly the best fighter for him to face. On paper it's a test but I don't think it will be a test. I don't think Moses will be under any form of pressure in a fight like this.

I think it's going to be one of Moses' easiest nights of his career and he'll win a world title.

    Prediction - Itauma

  5. Hrgovic's cuts could be keypublished at 20:16 BST 29 August

Filip Hrgovic is durable and has never been stopped as a professional.

His only defeat, against Daniel Dubois, ended because of cuts.

He is susceptible to them, and plenty of former fighters and pundits believe he could get cut again if Moses Itauma lands a barrage of punches.

If Itauma can drop and stop Hrgovic, though, that would be a real statement.

Use 'Get involved' to have your say

Now then, here's a question for you...

Is Moses Itauma currently Britain's best young sportsman? If you don't think so, then who is?

I'd say Luke Littler has a great shout.

    Anyway, let us know!

  7. 'Itauma will be tested tonight'published at 20:10 BST 29 August

Former boxing world champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think a couple of unanswered questions will be answered about Moses Itauma.

One of the unanswered questions is what is his chin like?

He has blown everyone else away up to now. I think he will be tested tonight.

MVP co-founder Jake Paul, speaking to Sky Sports: "Amazing night. Five years of MVP. It's really cool to be here. We love the UK fans, everyone has been amazing. We have USA v UK throughout the whole card.

On tonight's main event: "I'll be on the edge of my seat. There's been a lot of tension and smack talk online from both of them and that's what I like personally."

On his own plans to return to the ring: "We'll see. We're trying to get a fight sealed. We're talking to multiple people I would say in the next couple of months we'll have something figured out."

Jake Paul, influencer and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, is in the house tonight as his company celebrates their fifth anniversary of boxing events.

Paul himself headlined on 29 August 2021, beating MMA fighter Tyron Woodley, but is in a watching brief tonight.

I was alerted to Paul's presence by about 50 children charging the barrier to the VIP area, all wanting pictures with the YouTuber.

  12. World title on the linepublished at 20:01 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

Moses Itauma v Filip Hrgovic was already a massive fight but it got a whole lot bigger when the vacant IBF heavyweight title was thrown into the mix.

It came as a shock when undisputed king Oleksandr Usyk decided to vacate his world titles but it breathes new life into the division.

And it also gives Itauma and Hrgovic the chance to become champion of the world.

What a night we're in store for.

  14. An early knockdown at the O2published at 19:57 BST 29 August

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport boxing journalist at O2 Arena, London

We haven’t even got to the main event yet and there’s already been a knockdown.

Walking into the arena, I accidentally sent a kid’s pick and mix flying everywhere.

Not quite the first-round stoppage we’re expecting tonight. Apologies to the young fight fan - I hope the sweets made a full recovery. Five second rule.

Next up is Terri Harper as she makes a start to becoming a four-weight world champion...

Harper speaking to Sky Sports: "Nerves are good. It's what you need to get that fire burning.

On Reyes' recent comments: "It's nothing I haven't heard before. It's what has got to be said. I think it creates a bit more beef for the fight."

    Dubois v Moore

Caroline Dubois and Amelia Moore haven't been best of pals this week in the lead up to the WBO and WBC lightweight title bout.

Dubois was caught rolling her eyes at her opponent during Thursday's news conference and she was bullish about her intentions at yesterday's weigh-in.

"I told her I'm coming to take her head off," Dubois said.

    "Welcome to my world."

After a foul day weather-wise in Birmingham today, the cold rain has been replaced by red hot boxing in the arena tonight.

It is a shame in a way that the fight in London has become a world title match, as it overshadows what should be a brilliant display of women's boxing.

Not the fault of any of the pugilists out there tonight, but it rather sums up the place of the women's sport at the moment as it fights for attention.

  19. Will a heavyweight king be crowned tonight?published at 19:44 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport boxing journalist at O2 Arena, London

    Hello from London’s O2 Arena.

Moses Itauma was the teenager turning up to gyms after school and beating up professionals in sparring. Tonight, he could graduate from the school of hard knocks.

Records are at stake. Itauma could become the second-youngest heavyweight champion after Mike Tyson, the second-youngest British world champion after Prince Naseem Hamed and the quickest Briton to a world heavyweight title - one fight sooner than Anthony Joshua.

But all that is irrelevant if he cannot get past a very confident and in-shape Filip Hrgovic.

Tonight, a star might be born or Hrgovic might derail the hype train.

This feels like a pivotal moment for the future of British boxing.

  20. Itauma v Hrgovic undercard & running orderpublished at 19:41 BST 29 August
