  1. 'A little puppy'published at 21:09 BST 29 August

    Dubois v Moore

Alycia Baumgardner is ringside. She had some harsh words this week for Caroline Dubois.

Baumgardner is stepping up to lightweight to face IBF champion Elif Nur Turhan in November.

"The goal is to get past Turhan, which I will, and she has to get past Amelia, who I know very well and is a great fighter," Baumgardner told BBC Sport.

"In boxing, you never know. Do I want that? Absolutely. But she needs to do her part and step up like I've said for a long time - put some skin in the game.

"Energy speaks for itself. You know when a little puppy gets to shivering and they need their mommy?

"I'm always prepared to engage. This is what I do for a living."

  2. 'It's about making people believe'published at 21:08 BST 29 August

    Dubois v Moore

Amelia Moore, speaking to Sky Sports: "I am unshakeable. We build up to these moments. I am walking in to the ring with the same energy I want to walk out it with.

"It's about creating believers in people that doubt. It's not about shocking the world, it's about making people believe."

  3. Surprise movepublished at 21:06 BST 29 August

    Dubois v Moore

Caroline Dubois made a shock decision to switch trainers recently. She worked with Shane McGuigan in London since she turned professional in 2022 and he helped guide her to two world titles in the lightweight division in a run of 13 wins and one draw.

But she opted to make the move to Los Angeles to work with renowned US trainer Manny Robles.

"I'm 100% confident, I've come so far, changed my team, moved to Los Angeles and dedicated myself as always," Dubois said.

"I'm a person that believes in goals - big ones and small ones. The small ones are turning up at the gym and the big ones are becoming undisputed."

  4. Rivalry brewing?published at 21:04 BST 29 August

    Dubois v Moore

Caroline Dubois has ambitions to become undisputed queen of the 10st division and there is a big rivalry brewing with American Alycia Baumgardner.

Baumgardner is stepping up to lightweight to face IBF champion Elif Nur Turhan in November.

Then all roads should lead to a huge USA v UK showdown between Baumgardner and Dubois next year if the Brit beats Amelia Moore tonight.

Those are the type of fights the sport needs to keep interest growing. They won't be shy in the press conferences either. Bring it on.

  5. Gulf in experiencepublished at 21:03 BST 29 August

    Dubois v Moore

Caroline Dubois is hardly the most experienced pro with 14 fights under her belt but she is a veteran in comparison to her opponent tonight in Amelia Moore.

The American has just four fights in the paid ranks despite being 36 as she spent three Olympic cycles trying to represent the USA at the pinnacle tournament of the amateur sport.

It means she has boxed just 20 rounds - 70 fewer than Britain's Dubois.

Looking around, and being brutally honest, I would say that the stands are less than half full.

You can hear individual shouts from the crowd to support a certain boxer, and there are occasional pauses in the noise when the quiet is deafening.

MVP will surely be very disappointed with this turnout.

Beat young sportsman: Jude Bellingham surely. What a player.

    Darren, Ipswich

Ronnie O'Sullivan winning the UK Championship aged 17 puts him up there but Luke Littler is on another level in terms of achievements at a young age, double world champion at 19. Ronnie was 25 when he became world champion.

    Gareth, Cornwall

I mean if we are talking youngsters in sport right now Luke Littler has nearly completed Darts at 19.

  10. Ellie's elevatingpublished at 20:51 BST 29 August

    Mayer v Cameron

The big fights keep coming for British boxers with MVP.

Ellie Scotney is heading to Texas in November to take on WBC featherweight champion Tiara Brown.

Scotney has vacated her undisputed super-bantamweight crown and is moving up to try to become a two-weight world champion.

The Londoner became Britain's youngest undisputed champion in the four-belt era when she beat Mayelli Flores by unanimous decision at the Olympia in April.

Jake Paul promised her a car if she became undisputed because he was left stunned when he found out she uses public transport to get to training at Shane McGuigan's gym.

What will she be looking for if she becomes a two-weight champion?

There’s usually a familiar sight at boxing shows - rows and rows of empty seats until the main event starts creeping closer.

But plenty of fans had already taken their seats by 20:00 BST, and there is a nice buzz building around the O2. We're still a couple of hours out until the main event, I reckon.

The heavy hitters are also in. WBO heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois and WBC titlist Agit Kabayel are both my eyeline.

  13. MVP - influencer boxing to the real dealpublished at 20:44 BST 29 August

    Mayer v Cameron

Tonight is another huge evening for women's boxing with a card littered with female stars and world titles on the line.

Nobody expected Jake Paul to be one of the most significant figures in women's boxing when he started to get involved in the sport.

Yet the YouTube star is helping to grow the sport alongside promoter Nakisa Bidarian.

It's five years since Most Valuable Promotions put on their first ever show when Paul took on MMA fighter Tyron Woodley.

Back then it seemed they were more interested in influencers than real boxers but make no mistake they are serious operators in the sport now.

This is another event which proves that with a double header of women's world title fights.

    Harper v Reyes

    Emma Smith
BBC Sport at BP Pulse Arena, Birmingham

Nothing mellow about the woman in yellow, as Terri Harper floors Miranda Reyes with a flurry of body shots followed by a short left - 47 seconds into the second round, job done.

A very timely win for Harper, beaten by Caroline Dubois in her last outing. This win shows she is still an elite level fighter.

Her road back from the Dubois loss is started with a great big first step.

  17. 'Filip's trying to get the mental edge'published at 20:34 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

    Frank Warren
Queensberry Promotions on BBC Radio 5 Live

    On yesterday's weigh in...

A shock for me. They were staring at each other, and it seemed to get more intense.

I couldn't get in between them. He [Moses Itauma] just pushed him. Off he [Filip Hrgovic] went off the stage. I don't want that.

God forbid anything happened then we have got no fight. There's so much on the line for both these guys, one wants to be the first heavyweight champion from Croatia.

Moses, the youngest ever British heavyweight world champion if he comes through.

There's been a lot of talking in the week. I have noticed Filip [Hrgovic] trying to get the mental edge.

  18. Itauma and Hrgovic come to blowspublished at 20:31 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

It all got a bit heated at yesterday's weigh-in, didn't it?

Moses Itauma, weighed 17st 4lb (110kg), with Filip Hrgovic coming in lighter at 16st 12lb (107kg).

But it was Itauma who seemed to lose his cool when he pushed Hrgovic off the stage, causing the Croatian to slap the youngster.

We don't mind a bit of added spice, do we?

There may have been a push and a slap at the Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic weigh-in yesterday but there was also an intense face-off between Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron in Birmingham.

The pair butt heads after they both stepped on the scales at the BP Pulse Arena and exchanged verbals in what was feisty face-off.

"She isn't intimidating me," Cameron said after security stepped in. "All that yapping and getting in my face - just watch tomorrow."

American star Mayer hit back by saying Brit Cameron will be "too slow" in the unified light-middleweight title clash.

"That's in your head, you're deluded. Shut your mouth, you're so deluded and you're making things up because you don't believe in yourself," Cameron responded.

    "You're going to get humbled."

  20. How popular is Itauma now?published at 20:26 BST 29 August

    Itauma v Hrgovic

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport boxing journalist at O2 Arena, London

As lovers of boxing, we can sometimes live in a little bubble.

There is no doubt Moses Itauma can become a global superstar. He is incredibly talented and exciting. His face has been plastered across billboard and London buses this week, but there is still plenty of work to do when it comes to his exposure.

Does the average person walking down the street know who he is yet? He has not hit the mainstream in the way Anthony Joshua had when he fought for his first world title - although AJ was an Olympic gold medallist.

It takes time to build a profile but tonight is a huge step on Itauma's path to superstardom.
