How can I see what information you have about me?
This is called the right of access. This right allows you to ask for full details of the personal information we hold on you.
If you have a BBC account
You can request this information from your account settings.
We'll be able to share most of the information and activity on your BBC account, but we won't include everything, such as information you sent to the BBC which is still publicly available on bbc.co.uk.
What about other information?
You'll need to contact us explaining the details of what you want to help us find it. Bear in mind, when we get back to you we might need some identification to check that you are who you say you are.
There might be some rare occasions where we can't fulfil a request.
Outside the UK?
The same information above applies. If you require information relating to;
- our BBC.com paid subscription account
- your BBC.com newsletter subscriptions
- and/ or data relating to one of our BBC Studios Branded sites (Doctor Who, Bluey, Top Gear, BBC Earth, Hey Duggee)
