George reached two world darts finals during his career

Guernsey's darts players have a chance to play former world finalist Bobby George in the final of a tournament that starts later this month. Eight pubs will host the first rounds of the competition to find one winner who will play in the final against the flamboyant legend of the sport. Organiser Peter Leigh said he expected there would be a lot of competition for the other place in the final. "We're hoping to get about 100 to 150 people having a go at least," he said. George will appear in the final to be held at the Hampshire Lodge on Friday, 8 October.
