Watford manager Malky Mackay says new signing Jure Travner will have to be careful with some of his challenges.
The Slovenian left-back, 23, made his Hornets debut in a testimonial against Wealdstone on Saturday.
Mackay said: "He looks as if he can play in the Championship, and that's what I wanted. It will take time just to bed him into English football.
"He has got to be careful with some of those tackles but his attitude and application have been excellent."
Meanwhile, trialist Claudio Beauvue, 21, has returned to France.
