Mykhailo Mudryk says "it's a great feeling" to join Tottenham on loan and he is "so excited to be reunited" with head coach Roberto de Zerbi.

The 25-year-old Ukraine forward signs from Chelsea on a season-long loan with the option to buy for £75m.

Mudryk has previously worked with De Zerbi during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk.

"I can't wait to start training and playing for the club, and I'm so excited to be reunited with Roberto De Zerbi," Mudryk said. "I'm a player who brings speed and creativity, and I want to help in both the offensive and defensive areas.

"I want to make the fans excited.

"I can see it's a strong squad here with good players, and I'm looking forward to sharing a pitch and special moments with them."

De Zerbi added: "Having worked with Misha earlier in his career, I know exactly what he can bring to our team.

"He has the quality to change a game with his speed and ability in one-vs-one situations, and is an exciting, attacking talent.

"I will demand a lot from Misha and it is our job to help him find the best version of himself. If we do that then he can become a very important player for us. I am very happy he chose to come here, and I cannot wait to work with him again."

Tottenham have done the following business on transfer deadline day:

• Japan international Kota Takai has gone on a season-long loan to Belgian top-flight side Sint-Truidense.

• Winger Mikey Moore has joined Bundesliga side Cologne on a season-long loan deal.

• Left-back Souza has joined Portuguese Primeira Liga side FC Porto on a season-long loan deal.

• Midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has joined Juventus on a season-long loan, with the Serie A side having the option to make the move permanent next summer.

• Defender Kevin Danso has joined fellow Premier League side Sunderland on a season-long loan.

• Mansfield Town have re-signed Tottenham midfielder George Abbott on a season-long loan.

• Forward Mykhailo Mudryk has signed on a season-long loan from Chelsea with an option to buy for £75m.

• Tottenham have signed defender Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea.

The Observer's Rory Smith believes Tottenham shortlisted "three completely different profiles of players" in their search for another left winger.

As reported by BBC Sport's Chelsea reporter Nizaar Kinsella, the Blues have accepted an offer for Mykhailo Mudryk in the late stages of the summer transfer window.

"This transfer chain between Cody Gakpo, Iliman Ndiaye and Mykhailo Mudryk is interesting to me," Smith said on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club. "They are all forwards who have played Premier League football, but that's literally the only thing they have in common.

"They might like the same soap operas - I have no idea - but other than that, it is really hard to see a pattern.

"Tottenham drew them up as their three contenders for the left wing spot, but they are all completely different profiles of players.

"These clubs spend so much money on analysts, data, information and expert scouts. If I was an owner, I would be asking: 'Have we not spent quite a lot of money on these smartest people in the room to spot bargains?'

"Fans have a different reaction to a player coming in for a bargain fee and doing well compared with a club spending a seventh of their entire revenue on a left winger.

"Nobody seems to be thinking any more, apart from the usual clubs."

Tottenham defender Kota Takai has joined Belgian top-flight side Sint-Truidense VV on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for the club, despite signing from J1 League club Kawasaki Frontale in July 2025.

Takai spent the second half of 2025-26 on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, making eight appearances for the Bundesliga side before returning to north London.

BBC Radio London will be bringing you a special show on later on Tuesday examining the transfer business done by Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Tottenham.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, former EFL and National League defender Jamal Fyfield and journalist Charlotte Richardson will be the guests in the studio for the programme, which will run from 22:00 to 00:00 BST, taking in the 23:00 transfer deadline.

Tottenham winger Mikey Moore has joined Bundesliga side Cologne on a season-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old academy graduate made his Premier League debut against Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May 2024.

He featured in the team that won the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double in 2022-23.

Moore was also part of Spurs' Europa League-winning campaign during the 2024-25 season.

Meanwhile, full-back Souza has also left Tottenham on loan, joining Portuguese side Porto for the rest of the campaign.

Tuesday is the final chance of the summer for your Premier League team to do transfer business.

The window closes at 23:00 BST, so teams - and fans - could be in for a late-night transfer scramble.

Chelsea have accepted offers from Tottenham for winger Mykhailo Mudryk and defender Tosin Adarabioyo, as well as a bid from Italian club Como for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The trio are now expected to leave Stamford Bridge, subject to agreeing personal terms, with Spurs keen to secure Mudryk, 25, and reunite him with his former manager Roberto de Zerbi.

The Ukraine international has not played a competitive match since November 2024 but returned last month after serving a suspension for taking the banned substance meldonium.

Mudryk previously played under De Zerbi at Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk before moving to Chelsea for an initial £61m.

Spurs will also sign Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a permanent deal to replace Kevin Danso, who is set to join Sunderland on an initial loan deal.

Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to £65m to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton.

The clubs reached an agreement on a deal worth a guaranteed £60m plus a further £5m in add-ons for the Senegal winger.

The news comes after Tottenham agreed deals with Everton on Friday night for Ndiaye to join the London club, with Richarlison moving the other way in a separate transfer.

However, sources are indicating Richarlison failed to agree personal terms with former club Everton, who are understood to have made a £35m offer for the Brazil forward.

As a result, Tottenham have been unable to proceed with the Ndiaye transfer.

In an emotional statement on Instagram on Monday, Richarlison said: "After everything I've been through in the last few years, I've decided that never again will anyone decide my future for me.

"If they reach an agreement between Spurs and Everton, I will return to my beloved club.

"My intention was to go back to the place where I was very happy, yes, but the negotiations happened only in the way certain people wanted, and it will no longer be like that.

"Despite all this turmoil, I am under contract at Spurs and will remain at the club's disposal."

With the transfer window closing, the madness of the money spent is unfathomable and it is not just those super clubs.

Boards of directors dissect data, analyse algorithms and try to be as scientific and mathematical as possible. The results however appear stubbornly random for different clubs, some are ultra positive, others utterly negative.

Newcastle just about broke even with their sales and acquisitions this summer. They have lowered the average age, but also slashed the experience available for Matthias Jaissle to dangerous levels.

Meanwhile, Spurs splurged by spending a third of a billion pounds (and counting) on four players, even if they did scrape a chunk of that back on sales. The upshot was a 2-0 defeat at home to the travelling Toon Army.

The sample size is too small to judge though and with Roberto De Zerbi at the helm they might still come good after losing both opening games without scoring.

Spurs fans do however have the right to wonder, "why have we spent all this money and still haven't landed the striker we so obviously need?"

Reliable quality in the final third is what costs most just now, because it is such a scarce commodity.

Former Premier League striker Charlie Austin believes Tottenham's current form is "alarming", particularly when bringing the length of Roberto de Zerbi's tenure and the club's transfer window spending into the equation.

Tottenham have only won three of their past 23 league games on home soil, with the latest sucker punch coming in Sunday's 2-0 defeat by Newcastle United.

"They have been in the exact same position in the Premier League for the past two seasons," Austin said on BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily podcast. "But we all thought they would be a different proposition this year because they have spent money.

"The alarming side of it all is Roberto de Zerbi came in with six games to go at the end of last season, compared to Matthias Jaissle with two and a half to three weeks of pre-season under his belt - yet Jaissle has delivered two exciting performances.

"So it doesn't matter how much money you spend. As De Zerbi said: 'Money cannot buy mentality.' As an ex-professional footballer, I know it is something you cannot put a price tag on.

"They have all of these players in, but it is about gelling them now. It will take time, I really do understand that, but Tottenham, collectively, need to understand where they are at the moment."

Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, with Richarlison set to move in the opposite direction.

Although a deal for Ndiaye is largely agreed between the two clubs, it remains unclear whether he will make the switch to north London, with Manchester City among the clubs to have expressed an interest.

Everton are open to selling Ndiaye, 26, after he rejected multiple contract offers and held talks with Saudi club Al-Hilal earlier this summer.

Meanwhile, Everton have agreed terms in principle to re-sign striker Richarlison after he told Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi "too many times that he wants to leave".
