Portsmouth have made permanent the signing of Republic of Ireland midfielder Liam Lawrence from Stoke on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The deal should have gone through in August but his paperwork was not submitted before the transfer window and he had to join on-loan instead.
The 29-year-old has made 17 appearances for the Fratton Park club already, scoring seven goals.
Neither side have revealed the transfer fee for the former Sunderland man.
