MK Dons on-loan winger Angelo Balanta faces up to four months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his injured ankle.
Balanta, 20, picked up the injury in the 2-0 win against Brentford two weeks ago - a game in which he also scored.
The Colombian, who spent time on-loan at Wycombe Wanderers last season, is on a season-long loan from QPR.
Dons medical staff are hopeful that Balanta will be able to return to action by early April.
