Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson is adamant he will field a youth team for the Lincolnshire Senior Cup final, even if it breaches competition rules.
The Imps will face Grimsby in the final on 2 August after beating Scunthorpe on penalties in their semi-final.
Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "It's another pre-season game that we don't need and we might pick up injuries.
"I'm going to put the youth team out. I'll check the rules but I don't think that will make me change my thoughts."
Lincolnshire FA regulations on the Senior Cup state: "Every club in the competition shall play their strongest team.
"Any club proved to be playing an understrength team shall be dealt with by the [Lincolnshire FA] Council."
