Hereford United manager Simon Davey says defender Janos Kovacs has not torn a cartilage after all.
Kovacs underwent surgery last week but the injury was not as serious as first feared and he could return in a month.
"Even though he has had an operation the time scale of when he will be back has probably been halved," said Davey.
"It is two to four weeks now whereas it had been up to eight weeks, but when they went inside his knee they couldn't find any tear."
