Hereford United expect top scorer Marc Pugh to leave the club after he turned down a new contract offer.
The Bulls would be due compensation for the former Shrewsbury player, who scored 13 goals this season, because he is under 24.
The 23-year-old forward, who can also play in midfield or on the wing, only joined Hereford on a permanent deal last summer after a loan spell.
Defender Tyler Weir has signed a new one-year deal at Edgar Street.
