Derby County striker Tomasz Cywka may still feature against Coventry on Saturday despite fracturing a cheekbone in the defeat against Cardiff.
Cywka had surgery on Sunday but the Rams will look at playing the 22-year-old in a protective mask - just as Jay McEveley did last season.
The Pole suffered the injury in an accidental clash with Cardiff defender Kevin McNaughton.
Cywka scored Derby's goal in the 2-1 reverse at Pride Park.
