Gainsborough Trinity manager Brian Little was pleased with his side's performance in their opening pre-season game as they lost 3-0 to Leeds United.
Former Lincoln City loanee Davide Somma scored the opener with Max-Alain Gradel netting twice in the second half.
Little told BBC Lincolnshire: "We played a very good team and we had to work very hard in the match.
"I was disappointed with the result but it was a great workout for us and we were unlucky not to score."
