Another opening for Jack Draper at 15-30, but Ugo Humbert gets incredibly lucky as he hits a backhand off the net cord and sees it drop over, out of Jack Draper's reach - despite the Briton's best efforts.

Again, Humbert comes back from a deficit to hold serve. But these are positive early signs for Draper.

Jack Draper resets and blasts through his opening service game, taking it without reply to get up and running in the early evening sunshine on the south coast.

A fast start by Jack Draper, who steals the first couple of points on Ugo Humbert's serve.

The Frenchman levels at 30-30, before Draper's push for an early break point is interrupted by the chair umpire, who calls for the point to be replayed after a speaker makes a noise mid-point.

The Briton isn't happy, having got himself into a rally, and that frustration only grows as Humbert manages to escape.

It is world number 30 Ugo Humbert who stands between Jack Draper and a shot at the Eastbourne Open title.

Humbert, who is celebrating his 28th birthday today, is hoping to reach his second final on grass after winning the Halle Open title five years ago.

The Frenchman, who also reached the semi-finals at Queen's this month, defeated compatriot Quentin Halys 6-3 6-4 to reach the last four.

It's been an encouraging week so far for Jack Draper on his return from injury in Eastbourne.

The former world number four has won all three matches in straight sets on the south coast, with his latest yesterday the most impressive of the lot as he defeated Canadian Gabriel Diallo 6-1 6-4.

Today, Draper could reach his first final on home soil, and first anywhere since the Madrid Open last year.

Zizou Bergs holds his nerve in a tense tie-break to force a deciding set against Great Britain's Toby Samuel.

Samuel served for the match after breaking to lead the second set 5-4, but he comes up short in the tie-break and must now go again in his bid to reach the Eastbourne Open final.

British lucky loser Toby Samuel has enjoyed a brilliant start to his semi-final against Belgium's Zizou Bergs.

He takes the first set 6-4.

It's been quite the week so far for Samuel, who until Eastbourne had never won a match on the ATP Tour. Now he's one set away from a maiden final.

Petra Marcinko has retired from the match as soon as the second set starts, which means second seed Madison Keys reaches the final.

This will be Keys' third final at Eastbourne, which she has won twice already.

Tatjana Maria has reached the Eastbourne final after third seed Jelena Ostapenko retired from the match.

Maria won the first set 6-1 before the match was suspended early in the second set due to rain.
