Let's look back to the Six Nations. The first defeat to France, the lacklustre performance against Italy but then they absolutely blew England away.
There's enough quality and people that have been around the block to put out a challenge and they'll definitely get their mentality right going into this week.

People won't be bigging up the way Ireland are playing or the level of rugby they're at currently, but you look at the names that could potentially come back into the team next week and the experience and class that comes with it, and they won't wipe this challenge aside.
Ireland will review it properly and learn their lessons but they'll know this is a team that can perform against New Zealand.
Going to Eden Park is the toughest test in rugby but Andy Farrell will turn that into a challenge to get excited about and not a daunting prospect.

I do think it's important that this was not a poor Japan team. They work very hard, they're so well coached, very organised and passionate about playing for Japan.
More from Andy Farrell: "We'll celebrate this one with the debutants and Ronan with his 50th and a couple of birthdays in the group then we'll dust ourselves off and move into an unbelievably exciting week.
"If you can't get excited about that you may as well not board the plane to Auckland."

Ireland have been so depleted in front row options this season through injury.
It's nothing against those on the team sheet but some players are getting opportunities or have played more rugby than they envisaged.
From a long term point of view, this is good that players are getting the opportunity to experience test rugby and see what will be expected over the next year.
'The scoreline flattered us' - Farrellpublished at 13:28 BST 11 July

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell speaking after the game: "I would say relief more than pleased. Delighted to get the win for all sorts of reasons, the four debutants and all the changes etc and because Japan are a good side that put us under pressure. The scoreline flattered us but delighted for the whole group.
"It was far from perfect and there were a few errors out there but we stuck at it and kept squeezing them until the end. We didn't convert all our chances but we stayed in the fight and played at the right end of the field when it mattered at the end of the game. We'll take that, sometimes that's rugby."

Ireland captain Tadhg Beirne speaking after the game: "That was a hard-fought win, we had to stick in it, Japan kept coming at us but we stuck in and got the nice try at the end to make the score look a bit more comfortable than it was. Credit to Japan, they put it up to us, but proud of the boys.
"Our conversion rate inside their 22 was quite good but we have to build on that for next week.
On the set piece: "I thought our set piece didn't function as well as we would have liked but we will look at that for next week."
On debutants: "A lot of milestones with four first caps and 50 for Ronan and we wanted to make it special and thankfully we were able to do that."
On next week's game: "Very happy with two from two but the target is three from three. We have a big challenge with New Zealand at Eden Park so we know we have to step up our performance for sure but this squad is capable."
