  18. 'Exhausting first half for England'published at 15:45 BST 26 September

Former England back on BBC Radio 5 Live

England are going to need a good half-time to recover. That has been exhausting.

Defending is hard work and they must have made 70-80 tackles.

The Black Ferns should be further ahead but they will look at the chances they have created and think their decision-making is the reason and that is something they can fix.

A ferocious first half at Allianz Stadium. New Zealand have been relentless - if they'd taken their chances, they would be out of sight. However, full credit to England for their defensive efforts.
