Fiji have been full of confidence from the first kick and they have just built how they wanted to play and they've created a lot of chances.

But they are giving Wales opportunities and they have to take them when they get them, because we have seen that Fiji can hurt you from anywhere on the pitch.

The key area has been Wales' 22 for Fiji.

There have been three or four penalties from them around that area but it's their decisions that's letting them down.

They are creating opportunities, but if they give Wales more opportunities then it could get away from them.

The stats on S4C have Fiji as making 469 metres to Wales’ 66. They have made 104 carries to Wales’ 32, and racked up 25 offloads.

Still, at least the Welsh scrum is going well...

Jac Morgan is a big moments player, he can win you a Test match and the moments he has are so impactful in games.

The team talks I'm guessing will be chalk and cheese, if you're Fiji you will be saying that you're one pass away from scoring two or three tries.

From a heart and effort perspective from Wales it's great, but they need to be more accurate with the ball.

The opening round of the Nations Championship got under way in Christchurch this morning, where New Zealand edged out a weakened France 34-32.

That was followed by Japan beating Italy 27-10 in Tokyo and then there was a cracker in Sydney where Sam Prendergast's conversion of Tom Clarkson's late try earned Ireland a 33-31 win against Australia.

The Wallabies could have won it with the clock in the red but Ben Donaldson missed a tough long-range penalty.

This fixture is followed by what should be a cracker in Johannesburg where South Africa will look to overpower an England side who had a miserable Six Nations (16:40 BST).

The final fixture is in Cordoba as Argentina - Wales’ hosts next weekend - take on Scotland (20:10 BST).

I think everyone is going to need a break after this first half.

Fair play to Wales, I thought they were a bit soft defensively at the start but they need to just keep playing in the Fiji half because they will make mistakes.

All level after a fascinating and at times frantic first half that has certainly tested Wales' defence.

Fiji will feel they should have their noses in front after blowing a fair few chances in the 22.

The conditions are blustery in Cardiff but Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula slots the penalty between the posts to level up.

No Wales can't strike... they instead have to defend.

Turnover ball Fiji go from one end to the other, with Rayasi goes charging into the 22.

Wales scramble but are pinged for offside.

Armstrong-Ravula will go for goal.

Another big Welsh scrum - they have complete dominance in that department.

They win a penalty that Dan Edwards bangs to the 22.

Can they strike again before the break?

Nearly all the penalties Fiji have given away have been attacking, brave ones from contact areas.

Maybe 5 to 10 years ago it was not getting back onside or hits off the ball, so there has been a great progression.

Wales can't continue to allow Fiji to make 12 metres off their launch play.

They went straight over the top of Dan Edwards again.

Another Fijian chance with Peni Ravai on for England-raised and former England Under-20s tight-head Tim Hoyt.

Ravai is a prop who used to play in the backs and honed his skills in the dark arts in France.

Brilliant by Jac Morgan, who pounces at the breakdown to win a penalty just outside the 22.

That was a good defensive set by Wales, who kept Fiji outside the 22 before their open-side scented an opportunity.

Rayasi injects pace into a slow Fiji attack and suddenly they are threatening.

But the ball then goes loose and it is snaffled by Aaron Wainwright - the former Cardiff City academy player.

The number eight goes racing away only for Fiji to scramble and tackle him in the 22.

But amid the drama the crowd had not heard the whistle for a knock on.

Fiji to go on the attack again.

This is a lot better from Wales.

They are not letting Fiji get out easily, they are keeping the pressure on them and carrying on our momentum.

That will be it for Semi Radradra.

Kalaveti Ravouvou of Bristol - a wing by trade - is on to replace the former Bears centre.

They are calling for a stretcher for the experienced Radradra, who now plays in Japan with Blue Revs. He leaves the pitch with his left leg in a brace.
