    Japan 5-29 Wales

Wales have kept Japan pinned inside their half for almost all of this half.

You can only beat what is in front of you, and Sean Lynn's side are doing that convincingly in this second Test against the Sakura Fifteen.

That is superb play from Wales.

What's pleasing for me is the confidence from the Welsh players to attempt passes like that, last year they would have been hesitant in those positions.

They are starting to try things and it's starting to pay off.

    That is a cracker!

Wing Williams goes over for her second after a terrific wide pass by number eight Alex Callender puts full-back Lisa Neumann in motion.

She makes no mistake went putting the speedster over.

Wales are trying to do a little bit too much at the moment, the tries will come when you're building momentum but you're not going to get them straight away.

They just need to play with a bit of sense here.

New Zealand number eight Kaipo Olsen-Baker has just been named as World Rugby's women's player of the year.

The Black Ferns forward won the award ahead of England's Zoe Harrison and Megan Jones, and Canada's DaLeaka Menin.

That was Tuipulotu's 10th Test try and she follows up with a dominant scrum after Japan fail to go 10 metres with the restart.

The prop is certainly in the mix for next year's Lions tour to New Zealand.

It starts from the dominance in the scrum, and then that quick thinking from Alex Callender put Wales in the best possible position.

And Sisilia Tuipulotu is so hard to stop from that position.

A free-kick is awarded from the scrum and Alex Callender goes quickly from the tap.

Loose-head prop Gwenllian Pyrs goes close but there is no stopping tight-head prop Sisilia Tuipulotu.

She crashes over to stretch Wales' lead, with Lleucu George hitting the left upright again with a tricky conversion.

Wales are bossing territory here and you feel this pressure will eventually tell.

The ball hits the ref from an overthrown line-out and Wales will have a scrum 10 metres out.

Great spot to launch a play - Keight on the hard line first?

    Seren Lockwood is so good.

She's such a threat, her speed of ball, her elusive behaviour in and around the breakdown is superb.

Japan stop a line-out drive illegally and Jennifer Nduka pays the price for the penalties racking up.

She is sent to the sin bin as Wales go for the corner... only to knock on.

    That big chance goes begging.

Ball off the top again, then a big carry by Courtney Keight only for hooker Kelsey Jones to come in from the side when clearing out.

Japan are struggling to clear their lines though.

That's poor by Japan, a pass back into the 22 and the kick is hammered out on the full.

    Big chance for Wales.

This game is not done yet, but I'd be surprised if anything changes this half.

I expect to see Wales kick on with their dominance.

Wales have been great at winning possession back and especially in the crucial moments.

To get that try in the last five minutes is a big psychological boost, it gives them a massive hub going into the second half.

It's great to see Lleucu George back today and full of confidence, her and Seren Lockwood are controlling the game.

That was perfect timing from Amy Williams, it's much nicer to be sat in that changing room with 19 points on the board, it's a great position for Wales to be in.

Lleucu George is having an amazing game, we've seen great variation from her kicks and she's really stretching this Japanese defence.

This is what we spoke about before the game, strength in depth. That's what competition does, it doesn't leave complacency.
