Ioan Lloyd makes no mistake and Cardiff are just one score away and also, in bonus point territory.

Another Taine Basham turnover and break and he links with James Botham, setting the platform for Callum Sheedy to execute a cross-field kick.

If Elijah Evans had gathered it the try was on, but he can't quite grasp the ball as it deflects off him and into touch.

That could have been a huge moment.

What a golden opportunity for Cardiff by there, it was the right option to kick but just a little bit too much on it.

Great initial turnover from Basham in the first half.

Cardiff have had just 25 per cent possession so far in this second half - a stinging statistic when you are striving to get back into a game.

But they are still hanging in there as Ioan Lloyd chips forward - only for Ellis Bevan to be penalised for being in front of the kicker. More frustration.

Mr. Horsman is right.

I have long said that Neil Jenkins would be redundant if he grew up in the modern era.

Every now and again, kicking three points can help. Cardiff could be back within a score by now.

Call me old fashioned, but when did we stop kicking for three points?

Cardiff could've gone within a score, but now they're back on the half way line and the momentum is back with Sharks.

Opportunity wasted as another lineout goes astray.

Have to be blunt about this, Daf Hughes has struggled since coming on and the Cardiff set-piece play has been ragged overall.

As concerning as it was to see Toby Faletau go off hurt, Taine Basham is having a stormer since going on.

He gets Cardiff out of trouble with a strong run from deep and a few phases later, the Blue and Blacks have a penalty and the opportunity to attack.

Cardiff's set piece is letting them down. Whatever level of rugby you play, if you don't secure your set piece it is very difficult to put pressure on your opponents.

Sharks hunting the bonus point as they batter away at the Cardiff line. But after Vincent Tshituka goes close, James Botham wins a huge penalty on his own line.

He's been pinged twice in the last couple of minutes, Botham. The flanker made up for it there.

Fantastic from Grady, ran through and left the Sharks players in his weight.

But his handling ability just lets him down on times.

Oh hello. Mason Grady cuts a brilliant line and speeds 40 metres into the Sharks' 22 but as he looks to offload, Andre Esterhuizen makes a vital tackle and the winger knocks on.

They nickname the home captain 'Andre the giant'. I'd argue he is a more agile version than the man who famously fought Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania III but regardless, that was a crucial intervention.

Sharks are starting to physically impose themselves on Cardiff, in and around those close carries.

Their chasers are the first to get to bouncing balls, and once they get that turnover ball they look dangerous.

Cardiff now changing the rest of their front row as Sharks lock Jason Jenkins receives treatment.

The altitude and humidity definitely took it's toll on Cardiff in the final stages in Pretoria last week. You can understand Corniel van Zyl sending on fresh legs.

Oh no, Toby Faletau needs more than a breather.

He's off the field with his arm in a temporary sling. As Chris Horseman says let's hope, and pray, this is not as bad as it looks.

In the meantime Taine Basham is on for his 110th Cardiff appearance.

Let's hope that injury to Faletau is not as serious as it looks.

A breathless period of play starts with Sharks second-row Jason Jenkins briefly turning into Brian O'Driscoll, breaking through in midfield before chipping ahead.

But Ioan Lloyd counters for Cardiff and then they break downfield as Toby Faletau charges over half-way - only for the Sharks to win a turnover and attack again themsleves.

After it all Toby Faletau is down. Hopefully he just needs a breather.
