Canada mean business here!
Their offloading game is so sharp and the Scots are struggling to live with it.
Olivia Apps almost breaks free but is hauled back by her shorts, but when the ball is recycled a few phases later the scrum-half spots the blind-side completely unguarded and darts through to touch down in the corner.
It all started with a brilliant offload from hooker Kiki Idowu who found Rachel Smith charging on her shoulder.
From there the Scottish defence was scrambling and while they stood firm for several phases on their own line, Lizzie Gibson eventually finds the gap to go over.
Scrum-half Rhea Clarke will make her first international start while Evie Gallagher returns on the openside flank for Scotland in her first appearance since last year's World Cup.
She will partner captain Rachel Malcolm, who leads the team from the blindside, with Becky Boyd taking the number eight shirt
Shona Campbell is selected on the left wing, joining the experienced pair of Rhona Lloyd and Chloe Rollie in the back three.
Glasgow fly-half Ceitidh Ainsworth and Exeter full-back Katie Buchanan, both uncapped, are among the replacements chosen by interim head coach Dave Butcher.
Second row Adelle Ferrie is also on the bench, having replaced the injured Alex Stewart in the squad.

Scotland v Canada (16:10)
Good afternoon from Hive Stadium in Edinburgh where Scotland get their WXV Global Series campaign up and running against Canada.
It's a tough assignment for the Scots against the team ranked number three in the world and runners-up at last year's Rugby World Cup.
The sides did meet in the pool stage of that tournament and although the Canadians ran out 40-19 winners, Scotland did push them hard for long spells in that match. They will hope to be similarly competitive today.
