    Warrington 16-6 Hull KR

There was a hint of a forward pass from George Williams in the move that led to Matty Ashton's try, but that cannot be checked by the video referee.

Hull KR may feel things are going against them completely in this one.

While Tom Davies has gone to hospital following his early exit from the field after a head clash with James Bentley.

Matt Ashton gives Warrington a buffer!

That try is good and Warrington do extend their lead.

Wow, Warrington need little time to make use of their extra player.

They work it across the line and Matty Ashton is spare on the wing and that is a simple finish.

A second for Ashton and clear breathing space in the game.

And for the second time in the match, Ewan Irwin hits the upright with his conversion.

  4. 'What a moment in the game!'published at 18:45 BST 19 September

    Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

    Brian Noble
Former Great Britain coach on BBC Two

What a moment in the game! I don't know what to say. If the rules are a clenched fist...

  5. RED CARDpublished at 42 mins

    Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

And that moment may have decided this game.

Peta Hiku is shown a red card for that punch on George Williams.

A clenched fist means Hiku will play no further part and Hull KR will have to see this one out with 12 men.

  6. PENALTYpublished at 42 mins

    Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

Josh Thewlis is getting some treatment after he is on the receiving end of a hard shot from Peta Hiku.

The decision is a penalty for a high shot, while Hiku is a naughty boy as his fist makes contact with George Williams' mouth.

Not the hardest shot this great game has ever seen, but that is a punch.

  7. Kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

Warrington get us under way in this half.

Will they hang on for a semi-final spot. Let us know what you think.

Thumbs up for them, down if you think Hull KR will come back to triumph.

  8. 'Peters will want more from Lewis'published at 18:38 BST 19 September

    HT: Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

    Kevin Brown
Former England international on BBC Two

It has to change completely if Hull KR are to get any chance.

At 12-6, it's a complete false economy, Warrington are miles in front in all the stats. They've been dominant, they've been physical, the kicking game has been better.

Willie Peters will be asking for more from Mikey Lewis, more from Peta Hiku.

  9. 'Score doesn't reflect Warrington dominance'published at 18:35 BST 19 September

    HT: Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

    Kevin Brown
Former England international on BBC Two

I thought Hull KR's start was pretty tough. They lost Tom Davies with a HIA then Joe Burgess dropped a couple of balls.

I actually don't think the score line reflects the dominance of Warrington in this first half.

The fact that they scored in the corner right at the end gives them a little bit of confidence, but the way that they were in front - it was a bit of a one-sided game for me in that first half.

  10. Hosts heading for Headingley at the momentpublished at 18:32 BST 19 September

    HT: Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

So, as things stand, this would set Warrington up for a semi-final showdown at Headingley on Friday with Leeds.

Hull KR have work to do if they want a crack at Wigan on Saturday.

  11. 'An outstanding game'published at 18:31 BST 19 September

    HT: Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

    Harry Smith
Wigan Warriors half-back on BBC Two

That was electric, the atmosphere both fans have put on has been amazing.

I thought that first 20 minutes was outstanding. It lost a bit of its punch with the captain's challenges, but the the last five or 10 minutes really brought it back to life.

    An outstanding game.

  12. 'It's such a super game'published at 18:26 BST 19 September

    HT: Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

    Brian Noble
Former Great Britain coach on BBC Two

    What a first half!

Warrington deserve the lead. They've shown the better enterprise in attack, they've bombed a couple of tries at either side on each edge.

Hull KR have fought their way back into this game and this is why it's such a super game, they're so evenly matched these two teams.

    Great game.

  13. Half-timepublished at 18:22 BST 19 September

    Warrington 12-6 Hull KR

That try from Matty Ashton is the last action of the first 40 minutes.

The game really came to life in those last few minutes and two superb tries.

Warrington deserve to be ahead, but do not write off Hull KR.

    Matty Ashton

Anything Hull KR can do, Warrington can match it, and they produce a scintillating try of their own.

Fast hands through the middle before George Williams finds Kelepi Tanginoa and the ex-Hull KR forward finds the space and with Matty Ashton outside him, he sends the winger in to score in the corner.

    Wonderful Warrington score.

Unfortunately Ewan Irwin hits the upright with his kick and it's four points rather than six for the Wolves.

  15. converted try

CONVERTED TRY - Warrington 8-6 Hull KRpublished at 37 mins

    Joe Burgess, goal Arthur Mourgue

Sensational end-to-end rugby league from Hull Kingston Rovers!

Warrington kick the ball on the final play deep into Hull KR territory and they feed Arthur Mourgue just a couple of yards from his own line.

The French full-back needs no second invitation as he spots a gap and turns on the gas which pierces a hole through the backline.

He gets to the halfway and feeds Joe Burgess in support to his left. The winger juggles the ball, almost drops it, but catches it and sees off two chasers to touch it down.

Mourgue add the extras after his burst broke the Wire defence.

  16. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Warrington 8-0 Hull KR

What a tackle that is from Joe Burgess!

A certain try-saver after Arron Lindop had gone past Mikey Lewis and fancied the four points near the corner.

But could he have found his winger outside him?

Four points possibly gone AWOL there for the Wolves.

  17. Mikey's missingpublished at 18:13 BST 19 September

    Warrington 8-0 Hull KR

We are into the last few minutes of this half and we have seen precious little from Mikey Lewis.

Hull KR need their magic man to be far more involved.

  18. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Warrington 8-0 Hull KR

Six again for Warrington allows them to get moving through midfield.

But a fine attacking position is wasted as Josh Thewlis throws a pass into touch.

That is an opportunity wasted for Sam Burgess' side.

  19. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Warrington 8-0 Hull KR

This is turning into the kind of arm-wrestle you expect in play-off rugby league.

No quarter given anywhere. Time for a couple of sets up the middle to put the heat into the legs of the defenders.

  20. captains challenge

    Captain's Challenge - Warringtonpublished at 27 mins

    Warrington 8-0 Hull KR

Jai Whitbread tries to steamroller his way through the middle of the Warrington defence.

He is stopped in his tracks by a tackle from Danny Walker.

But Warrington believe that James Bentley was prevented from trying to defend by Tom Amone.

And it's another successful challenge, this time from Wolves skipper George Williams.
