I think it's important that some of these teams are being exposed to this level of football. But it shows that if you invest in your game the way the NRL does in Australia and New Zealand, that is the standard you get.

    HT: Australia 36-0 England

    Ruan Sims

I think we probably all thought the match was going to go this way. The strike rate for the Jillaroos has been fantastic, but it's really upsetting about Julia Robinson's injury.

    HT: Australia 36-0 England

Halloween might be a week away but some of the edge defence from England has been an absolute horror show.

Anna Davies and Amelia Brown are all over the place. You also have to wonder about the decision to not go with Georgia Roche from the start of this game.

She is one of the few England players, who competes againsts Australia's best every week in the NRLW.

England are two points better off than when a much different team fell to a record 90-4 defeat to Australia in Las Vegas in March 2025.

So they stop play when the Australian player is injured - even though she isn't affecting play. Hunter goes down injured - again not affecting play - and the game isn't stopped?

    Jay, Lancaster

Different set up but same result. Did anyone seriously think it would be different. The game is light years behind the Australians. The English and Welsh should not be in this tournament. They will, and are being, totally embarrassed again.

Australia look full of running. England have barely seen the ball, apart from kick-offs.

Lucy Murray then gives another away. The penalty count is 7-1 against England.

    Abbi Church

Just for a change Australia go right. And it's the same result.

The England line is fragmented to say the least and Tiana Penitani Gray picks out Abbi Church, who skips back inside Fran Goldthorp to score.
