    Elfyn Evans wins WRC title

Elfyn Evans after that dramatic finish: "It hasn't sunk in. I was sure it was over. I didn't drive the best stage but threw everything at it but it wasn't clean. I feel for Oliver. He had an increible weekend.

"I'm sorry for him to lose it, but I've a lot of people to thanks over the year. Scotty [Martin, his co-driver] did an incredible job. I don't know what to say."

Oh my word. The title came down to the final 100m of the season.

It looked like Solberg had it sorted but he ran wide on a right-hander and went down a bank.

He got back on the road and across but the damage was done.

No, he has two seconds in hand as he charges towards the line.

A big sideways moment for Solberg but he holds it and keeps it pinned. We're almost at the next split.

Solberg is faster than Neuville, and crucially Evans, at the first split! He is on it!

We're heading towards the first split. It looks fast, but what do the times say?

His dad, Petter, is sitting on some rocks at the stage end taking it all in on his own.

  11. Solberg in the stagepublished at 14:00 BST 4 October

Evans v Solberg for WRC title

    This is ridiculous tension.

Nine-time champion Ogeir is through 14.3 seconds down on Neuville, and he won't be troubling the power stage points.

Over to you, Oliver. This is going to be spectacular either way.

In a contrast to Evans, Oliver Solberg's all-out attacking style means he is one of the sport's great entertainers.

He is aiming to become the first son of a WRC champion to win the title after his dad, Petter, triumphed in 2003 for Subaru.

After winning the first round of the season in Monte Carlo, it had looked like the 25-year-old had fallen out of title contention but he has soared back into the mix and is now possibly the favourite to snatch it off Evans.

Sebastien Ogier is in the stage but he's down on the splits as he looks to consolidate his second-place finish.

Oliver Solberg is going through his final preparations. Just like with Evans, it's going to be all or nothing.

Sami Pajari at the stage end: "Wow, I gave it everything. I tried to maximise this rally. I feel super lucky to be able to drive these cars. We have had nine podiums and three wins this season, so we have come a long way and we're not giving up. Let's see what the future will bring us."

Pajari is across the line with the second fastest time in the stage, 3.3 seconds down on Neuville but faster than Evans.

    Two cars to go.

Evans v Solberg for WRC title

Pajari, who has had a brilliant campaign, is down on the splits to Neuville.

He's a smidge quicker than Evans, and we'll get a good benchmark for what is to come with Solberg.

Evans v Solberg for WRC title

Adrien Fourmaux comes across the line, missing a bit of his front bumper. He's slower than Neuville, Evans and Katsuta.

It's important to say that any issues, punctures or retirements for any of the cars to come will only benefit Evans.

Sami Pajari, who now can't win the title, is into the stage.

Evans v Solberg for WRC title

Evans looked absolutely drained and you could tell on his face he had given it everything. It's hard not to feel for him as he waits to see Solberg's time come through.

Adrien Fourmaux is now in the stage, and then it will be Pajari, Sebastien Ogier and then Solberg.

Elfyn Evans at the stage end: "I'm pretty sure it won't be enough. I tried really hard but I felt I overdrove it. We had to give it a shot but I'm disappointed. I'm not giving up, I'm just being honest."

Evans v Solberg for WRC title

Elfyn Evans makes his way down the hill as his Toyota dances over the bumpy roads.

He flies across the line in a time of 4:59.8, which is 5.6 seconds off Neuville.

Is that enough? Pajari is now out of contention so all eyes are on Solberg.
