Cardiff Devils continued their impressive run of form at the Vindico Arena, beating Glasgow Clan 2-1 to complete a perfect opening weekend of the Elite League season.

Having beaten Manchester Storm 2-0 on Saturday, Devils went ahead in the first period through Kohen Olischefski, with Joey Martin doubling the home side's advantage in the second.

Visiting forward Rylan Schwartz scored with three minutes to go of the final period to deny Cardiff netminder Christian Stoever back-to-back shutouts.

"I think we showed a lot of character today," said Devils head coach Paul Thompson.

"We had chances, like we did yesterday, to maybe extend the lead but as long as you are getting the chances the goals will come eventually.

"I liked our attitude away from the puck... everyone contributed to a four-point weekend."

Unbeaten in 10 home games since the start of pre-season, Devils remain in south Wales for league games against Dundee Stars and Belfast Giants next weekend.
