London City Lionesses confirmed that Julia Roddar, Wassa Sangare, Maddi Wilde and Gesa Marashi will leave the club at the conclusion of their contracts and loan agreements this summer.

Swedish midfielder Roddar played a big part in London City's promotion from Women's Super League Two, playing 16 games across all competitions for London City last season.

Defender, Wassa Sangare will return to parent club OL Lyonnes at the conclusion of her season-long loan spell.

Full-back Maddi Wilde will also leave the club. After initially arriving at London City on loan, she penned a permanent deal with London City in the summer of 2024 and was a key part of London City's promotion-winning season.

Midfielder Gesa Marashi joined London City in the summer of 2024 after progressing through Arsenal's Professional Game Academy.

The club will show their appreciation for departing players after the full-time whistle at Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

Tottenham midfielder Olga Ahtinen has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 28-year-old joined in 2023 and has gone on to make 55 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.

The Finland international missed three months between November 2023 and January 2024 due to a knee injury but helped the squad reach the FA Cup final.

Under manager Martin Ho - who joined Tottenham last summer - Ahtinen has featured 19 times.

"I'm happy that I get to be a part of the journey that we're on," said Ahtinen.

"This season we've taken steps in the way we play. Our day-to-day life has been good and challenging. It's the right place for me to become a better footballer.

"The things that we're doing on a daily basis really show that we're going to be able to compete. We just want to get better every day."

Brighton boss Dario Vidosic said the club's run to their first-ever Women's FA Cup final is better than any fairy tale.

The Seagulls fought back from two goals down to beat Liverpool 3-2 in Sunday's semi-final, with Nadine Noordam scoring the winner in the in the 95th minute.

"To score with almost the last kick of the game to go to Wembley, I don't think a fairy tale is written that well," Vidosic said on the Women's Football Weekly Podcast.

"It pays off that hard work. That was really nice for the group, for the club, for all the staff. For all the sacrifice and long hours, and for the players – everything that they put in every day. "

Brighton will face Manchester City in the Wembley showpiece FA Cup final on 31 May.

But Vidosic is not daunted by playing the newly crowned Women's Super League champions.

His side are on a seven-game unbeaten run and could seal their highest-ever points tally in the WSL if they defeat Tottenham in the final day of the season on Saturday.

"We've tried to instill a belief, it doesn't matter who you play against that we can look them in the eyes and say 'we're here, we're ready to play some football', and I am hoping now we have got that belief," he said.

Aston Villa have confirmed that Ebony Salmon, Gabi Nunes and Sabrina D'Angelo will leave the club upon the expiration of their contracts in June.

England forward Salmon made her senior debut for the club aged 16 in 2017 but left to gain regular football before returning six years later.

The 25-year-old has made 73 appearances in her second spell at the club and started Monday's 2-0 defeat by West Ham in the Women's Super League.

Brazil international Nunes joined in 2024 from Spanish side Levante and made 22 appearances in her first season before a back injury disrupted this campaign.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper D'Angelo leaves due to a desire to be closer to her family having featured heavily for Villa.

She played every game in her debut season in 2024-25 and has made 15 appearances this year, facing competition from England goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck.

The 32-year-old has made 45 WSL appearances in total after joining the league from Sweden four years ago.

Women’s Super League 2 side Newcastle United are in talks to sign Wales international Gemma Evans from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave Liverpool when her contract expires at the end of the season.

Newcastle are hopeful of adding Evans, who has 83 caps for Wales, to their squad after finishing sixth in the second tier this season.

The defender has made 38 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Manchester United in 2024.

She has featured just once as a substitute in the WSL this year, with 10 appearances in total during 2025-26, but started their Women's FA Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic last month.

Liverpool face Brighton in the semi-finals on Sunday (12:15 BST) and sit 11th in the WSL.

Spain defender Leila Ouahabi is set to leave Manchester City when her contract expires in the summer.

The 33-year-old has made more than 100 appearances for the club, since joining from Barcelona in 2022, and helped City win the Women's Super League title this week.

She still has a chance to win an FA Cup medal, with City facing Chelsea in the semi-finals on Sunday (15:30 BST).

The full-back has started 10 games in the WSL in 2025-26 but has found it harder to get game time in the second half of the campaign.

Striker Khadija Shaw is also likely to leave City, while midfielder Laura Coombs announced she will retire from football at the end of the season.

On Sunday, Chelsea will face a Manchester City side that is fresh from being crowned Women's Super League champions, but how much impact will that have?

The two sides will battle for a place in the Women's FA Cup final as both clubs hope to end the season with a domestic double.

While City's players recovered from celebrations they had on Wednesday night, Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor was confident as she spoke to the media to preview the tie.

"I hope they will party tonight, tomorrow and Saturday!" she joked when asked about whether City might be fatigued by their recent success.

That victory ended Chelsea's six-year dominance in the WSL and comes 12 months after Bompastor led the Blues to an unbeaten domestic treble in her debut campaign.

An added subplot to Sunday's game is that City's top scorer Khadija Shaw is close to a move to Chelsea this summer.

"It's fair to say they need to enjoy these moments. It's important for them to celebrate but they are professionals," said Bompastor.

"They know it's an important game for them and there is a trophy at the end [of the competition] - so I'm sure they will be ready."
