Norwich return to Carrow Road seeking their first points of the season at home as Hull City visit on Saturday (12:30 GMT).

The Canaries have lost all six games infront of their own fans under Liam Manning this season in all competitions, are on a five-match losing streak in the Championship and have taken just two points from their past eight games to slip to second-bottom of the table, ahead of only Sheffield Wednesday.

The Tigers, by contrast, are unbeaten in their past five league games, taking 11 points, and sit eighth, only outside the play-off places on goal difference.

• Norwich City are unbeaten across their past five league games against Hull City (W4 D1), scoring 12 goals in total during that time.

• Hull City have won just one of their 13 away league games against Norwich City since 1972 (D3 L9), a 2-0 success at Carrow Road in September 2010.

• Norwich have picked up just eight points through their opening 12 Championship matches this season (W2 D2 L8), their fewest during a second-tier campaign since 2007-08 when they eventually finished 17th (also 8 points).

• Hull have won just one of their past eight away league games (D3 L4), though did win last time out on the road when beating Birmingham City 3-2 at St Andrew's.

• With 20 goals through their opening 12 Championship games, Hull have netted their most goals at this stage of a second-tier campaign since 2017-18 (23).

Norwich manager Liam Manning says his side need to stop giving away soft goals, after Swansea condemned the Canaries to their eighth defeat of the season on Saturday.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Back to where we've been, it just hurts with the type of goals we give away and it's something we've been saying all season.

"It's cost us all season and it's something I'm working extremely hard to change, but it's proving quite a challenge in terms of just the softness and the manner of the goals.

"I spoke to the lads a lot that if you don't respect and take enough care of doing the simple things well enough, the little bits, then at this level you'll get punished - and that's what happened today.

"We have to change it and we're chasing that, it's a bit frustrating. I thought we responded well to going a goal behind, got back into the game.

"But forget formations, systems, structures, if you turn it over in such an easy manner and such an open way you're going to get punished... and we keep doing it."

Norwich City's majority shareholder Mark Attanasio will be a guest on BBC Radio Norfolk's Canary Call and taking questions on Wednesday, 29 October (18:00 BST).

Attanasio acquired a minority shareholding of the club in September 2022, and in August 2024, his Norfolk Holdings group agreed a deal to take majority control of the club from long-standing owners Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones.

The Canaries currently sit in the Championship relegation zone and without a point at home all season, with pressure mounting on head coach Liam Manning and sporting director Ben Knapper.

Norwich City will look to stop the rot when they visit Swansea City on Saturday (15:00 BST).

The Canaries have failed to win any of their past seven games, losing the last four in succession, to place themselves in the bottom three.

Though Swansea have not won in their past three and will also be keen to find that elusive victory.

• Swansea City have lost just one of their last five league games against Norwich City (W3 D1), though that sole defeat did come in their last such meeting, a 5-1 loss at Carrow Road in January this year.

• Norwich City have lost five of their last seven away league games against Swansea City (W2), failing to score in four of those defeats.

• Swansea are winless across their last five home league games (D3 L2); their longest run since December 2023 (6 games – D3 L3).

• Norwich have lost each of their last four league games in succession, last losing five in a row in the Championship in November 2016.

• Norwich have failed to score in three of their last four league games, and could fail to score in three successive matches for the first time since May 2022 (run of four).

Norwich City head to Swansea City on Saturday (15:00 BST) in the Championship.

The Canaries lost 1-0 to Derby on Tuesday, which saw them drop into the relegation zone with some fans calling for a change in management.

Head coach Liam Manning has been speaking to the media in the build-up to the game against Swansea. Here are some of the key points:

• Ante Crnac will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury in the defeat to Derby. He has ruptured his ACL and requires surgery.

• "He was devastated. He's had people around him today picking him up - we're all just gutted for him," said Manning.

• Mathias Kvistgaarden is in contention to travel this weekend. Manning said there is a balance to be had with not rushing him back too quickly, but they do need him.

• Ben Chrisene is still not reintegrated into the squad and it will be a few weeks before the full-back is in a match-day squad. Amankwah Forson will return to team training next week.

• On the pressure of the job, Manning says he's in regular contact with sporting director Ben Knapper and he's keeping his head down and working "flat out" to change things.

• "It's a pressure cooker at the moment, you've got to make the most of when we're on top and be more clinical in both boxes," Manning added.

• "Swansea will be a tough game, they've got good players and it's a tough place to go. It's another opportunity at the weekend and we need to turn that into a win."

• Shane Duffy has been spoken to following his unsavoury interaction with a fan on social media. "You just can't do it, you have to keep your opinions to yourself," said Manning.

Liam Manning insists he will fight on after seeing Norwich lose 1-0 at Derby to drop into the Championship relegation zone.

Norwich failed to turn their first-half domination into a lead and Derby recovered to win through David Ozoh's 55th-minute strike.

Norwich expected a promotion tilt when they appointed Manning in the summer and he is fighting for job after presiding over a seven-game winless run.

Manning told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Everyone wants results. I joined the club to drive and push it forward.

"I think there's a realism of where we're at and the [players who score] goals that left in the summer. It was never going to be a smooth, easy one.

"While we keep losing games, I'm going to keep being asked these questions (about his future), so until I'm told different, I'll keep working and pushing the lads to get better."

Manning was left to rue Norwich's failure to score in the first half and added: "You have to come in ahead at half-time. The performance in the first half was outstanding, but you have to take your chances."

"I'll prove you wrong" is Liam Manning's message to his critics ahead of their away game against Derby County on Tuesday.

The Canaries are 20th in the Championship, just a point above the bottom three, following their latest home defeat by Bristol City at the weekend.

His words were in response to being asked what he would say to fans who have lost faith in him.

"I've done it my whole life, done it my whole career - I'll stick it out, I'll keep fighting and then for me it becomes even sweeter when you get there," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I've seen numerous fans that have said positive things and are with you. The ones that see what we're trying to do and where we're trying to go, when you get there - which I genuinely believe we will - that's the bit I look forward to."

Norwich's two wins in 10 games both came away from home and they will be facing a Derby side that are immediately below them in the table after losing 1-0 at Oxford on Saturday and have not won in five.

The match will come too soon for defender Shane Duffy, who Manning expects to be ready to return at Swansea on Saturday.

"Shane's been in and around the changing room - his voice, his leadership, his experience, has been huge in helping the lads and we need that a bit at the minute," Manning said.

"Everybody's all in, everybody's pulling in the same direction and that's really important. We are where we are, nobody's happy about it but the only way we change it is by looking for solutions and improving it."

Norwich City head coach Liam Manning is under pressure to deliver a win at fellow Championship strugglers Derby County on Tuesday (19:45 BST).

The Canaries have lost three in a row and sit 20th, one place above the Rams.

On Saturday, they were beaten by Bristol City at Carrow Road in their sixth consecutive defeat at home in all competitions.

Manning has been speaking to the media ahead of the trip to Pride Park, here are some of the key points:

• Defender Lucien Mahovo has had an injury setback and will definitely miss Tuesday's game. He had recently made his return following surgery on his quad.

• Ben Chrisene will continue his absence through injury, while fellow defender Shane Duffy could return on Saturday at Swansea.

• Forward Mathias Kvistgaarden could also return on Saturday in Wales.

• Young winger Elliot Myles could be back in contention in the next two weeks - he hasn't featured for City yet this season.

• "We need to be switched on for 95 minutes, we need to move on from shooting ourselves in the foot." Manning reveals that he spoke to the players at length during a meeting on Sunday.

John Eustace's Derby County are without a win from their past five league matches while it is six games since Liam Manning and Norwich City last tasted victory.

One of these sides could find themselves in the Championship relegation zone by the end of the evening.

• Both sides have scored in 13 of the past 17 league meetings between Derby County and Norwich City, with the Rams scoring 26 goals and conceding 25 in this period.

• Norwich City have won both of their past two league visits to Derby, as many as their previous 12 beforehand (D5 L5).

• Derby are winless in eight home league games (D5 L3), their longest such run since December 2020 (12).

• Norwich have both scored and conceded in 10 of their past 12 away league games, scoring 13 goals and conceding 17 during that time.

• Eustace remains winless in six Championship meetings with Norwich City (D2 L4) – the most he's faced a side as a manager in the division without winning.

Norwich City manager Liam Manning is asking you to look up and down if you are looking for an answer to this club's malaise – and he is right to do so.

Whether you are listening to Chris Goreham's post-match interviews on BBC Radio Norfolk, or have the privilege of sitting in on Manning's post-match press conference (as I do) he is clear the failure of this club is a team sport.

And that feeling is shared by many of Norwich's fans who were there on Saturday.

The fact there were more chants for [sporting director Ben] "Knapper Out" or [chief executive Zoe] "Webber Out" than there were "Manning Out" after the Bristol City game should give you a sense of how the whole club is at a crossroads.

Manning said his players were too nice and showed Bristol City too much respect. Again, he's right.

Only two players in that side - Josh Sargeant and Kenny McLean - showed any fight.

Thing is, it seems it is only Liam willing to face the music after every game.

Whether Manning's tactics are to blame, or this club's problems are wider than him, Norwich face a harsh winter.

It's hard to see how that will change right now.
