You might not hear the old terrace refrain of 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' as often as you used to, but it still has a better ring than 'the shirt's not fit for you to wear'.

Championship leaders Coventry City launched a new collection on Friday, proudly taking inspiration from a kit widely dubbed the 'Worst of All Time'.

A take on the club's infamous brown change strip worn away from Highfield Road from 1978 to 1981, the modern reinvention features what the club calls "a deeper chocolate plum colour with sky blue elements".

Many would suggest it sounds tastier than it looks.

But it's got us thinking... what are actually the worst EFL kits of all time? Let us know which of your club's shirts is hiding in the back of the wardrobe, or even if they were too ugly for you to even part money for them.

We'll collate a list of the biggest eyesores and will give you the chance to vote on the ghastliest of all next week.

Ipswich Town head coach Kieran McKenna believes there are still too many games remaining in the season to be looking at the Championship table.

The Suffolk side are in fourth place, six points short of the top two, as they prepare to face Swansea City at Portman Road on Saturday (15:00 GMT).

"I think there's still such a long way to go. I know it feels closer and everyone's waiting for that last bit but there's still nearly a third of the season left," McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"It's an awful lot of games. I don't think we're even right in the spell yet of the last bit of the season."

Ipswich got back to winning ways by beating Watford 2-0 at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

"We're in a spell of seven games in 21 days and we have to focus on each one and our performances, delivering performances and getting the best result we can," added McKenna.

"It's not the time to be thinking about the league table at all. Probably when we get to the international break and there are eight games left in a short space of time you probably have a look at where we're at and think about what the run-in might look like."

Ipswich will have defender Leif Davis back for the visit of Swansea after he missed the victory over Watford but 10-goal forward Jaden Philogene remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Ipswich Town are playing their first home league game in a month, having had three away matches since drawing with Preston at Portman Road on 31 January.

Swansea snatched a last-minute equaliser against Preston on Tuesday night to make it only two defeats from their past six outings but only West Brom (11) and Sheffield Wednesday (7) have won fewer than their 14 points away from home.

• Ipswich have won their past three league games against Swansea, as many as they had in their previous 12 (D4 L5).

• Swansea lost their past away league game against Ipswich in November 2023, but have not lost on consecutive visits to Portman Road since August 1959.

• Ipswich have lost just one of their 16 home league games this season (W10 D5), and are unbeaten in 10 since a 3-0 loss to Charlton in October (W7 D3).

• Swansea have lost eight of their past 10 away league games, winning the other two against Oxford in December and Watford in January.

• Ipswich's Jack Clarke has scored three goals in his past two home league games, while five of his eight overall home goals this season have been as a substitute.

Former Championship winger Jobi McAnuff believes Ipswich Town will win automatic promotion to the Premier League at the expense of Middlesbrough.

The Tractor Boys are six points behind second-placed Boro with two games in hand, while Millwall are four points back in third, having played the same number of matches as the top two.

Kim Hellberg's side have gone three games without a win, losing 3-1 to leaders Coventry before drawing at home to relegation-threatened Oxford and Leicester.

"I was really keen to see how they reacted to that [defeat by Coventry] because they were in such good form going into that game playing some brilliant football," McAnuff told the Football Daily 72+ EFL podcast.

"What you want to do after what was a disappointing result is get back on that winning run as quickly as you can, particularly with the situation and Ipswich lurking with a couple of games in hand."

McAnuff says Ipswich have resources that "other clubs do not have" with the ability to bring striker George Hirst off the bench and sign players such as Anis Mehmeti and Dan Neil in January.

"I just feel that over the course of the whole season, that will come to fruition for them," said McAnuff, who won the Championship with Reading in 2011-12.

"You talk about the manager [Kieran McKenna], so calm, he's someone who has been there, he's got promotion from the league.

"I think he is going to have a huge part to play and that then also radiates through the dressing room.

"For him and Ipswich Town, that is what is going to get them over the line. I believe they will be in the top two. I genuinely do believe that."

When asked who would drop out of the top two, McAnuff added: "I'm going to say Middlesbrough. As much as performances have been okay the last couple of games, I do think they have a little bit of an issue breaking down teams where they sit deep."

Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna looked forward to some home comforts at Portman Road after his side ended a run of four away games with three points at Watford.

It would have been five on the road if the match at Portsmouth had not been postponed two weeks ago and the trip to Watford followed back-to-back defeats at Wrexham in the FA Cup and league.

"We've had a lot of travelling and it was important to get the performance tonight first and foremost - we were disappointed after Saturday (at Wrexham) so we need to come out and show the right ingredients," he told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"I thought it was a thoroughly deserved win and we're looking forward now to getting back to Portman Road on Saturday and it'll be great to do so after a win like that.

"Our intensity in duels was really good, and it's so important in away games, we won the 50-50s, the headers, the second balls and if you don't manage to do that in this division the momentum of the game is always going to be against you.

"When you do it, you get a chance to show the quality you have and we did that from the start of the game and that allowed us to impose ourselves on the ball and we created lots of pressure."

Ipswich have now lost only once in their last 10 midweek games and before trying to extend that run against Hull City, they will be at home to Swansea on Saturday.

Ipswich will seek to get back to winning ways in the Championship as they head to Watford on Tuesday (19:45 GMT).

The Hornets ended a seven-match winless streak with a 2-0 win over Derby on Saturday and sit 9th, just three points outside the play-off places.

The fourth-placed Tractor Boys went down 5-3 at Wrexham last time out and lie eight points off the automatic promotion places, albeit with two games in hand on second-placed Middlesbrough.

Town have now lost three of their past four away games in all competitions and have won just two of their past eight on the road in the Championship.

• Watford are winless in their past five league games against Ipswich (D2 L3), having only dropped points in four of their previous 17 against them (W13 D3 L1).

• After losing six consecutive away league games against Watford between 2006 and 2012, Ipswich have now won on three of their past four visits to Vicarage Road (L1).

• The reverse fixture between Watford and Ipswich this season finished 1-1 – only three times before have both league meetings between the sides ended level (1983/84, 1985/86 and 1990/91).

• Watford are unbeaten in their past 10 midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) league games (W4 D6), though five of their past six have finished level.

• Ipswich have lost just one of their past nine midweek (Tues, Weds, Thurs) league games (W5 D3), going down 3-0 at home to Charlton in October.

Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has shared his disappointment with his side's defensive performance during their 5-3 thrilling defeat to Wrexham on Saturday.

The side came back from behind twice to lead the contest 3-2 in the 47th minute but the Red Dragons pulled ahead in the latter stages of the match with Ipswich unable to claw it back.

It leaves the Tractor Boys trailing the automatic promotion spots by eight points.

"I'm really disappointed with the outcome and disappointed with ourselves," McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"We've come away from home and scored three really good goals and it should be enough to win you the game. But we've conceded some really poor ones today and it's some clinical finishing from Wrexham.

"It was really frustrating because it was on the cusp of being a really good day for us with some of the qualities that we showed, but the goals we've conceded and the mistakes we've made as a team have cost us the result we wanted."

Max Cleworth feels Ipswich Town have one of the strongest squads in the Championship as Wrexham prepare to face the Tractor Boys for the third time this season on Saturday afternoon (15:00 GMT).

The Red Dragons drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture at Portman Road on 22 November but beat Kieran McKenna's side 1-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup last weekend.

And Cleworth feels today's Championship contest with automatic promotion hopefuls Ipswich at Stok Cae Ras will provide another indicator of where Wrexham are at present.

"They've got one of the best squads in the league, there's a reason they were in the Premier League last year as well," the defender said of Ipswich.

"So their squad is very good, I think they can make a lot of changes and be just as strong.

"I'd imagine they'll make a few changes, but I think in terms of how they play and the intensity of the game it will be quite similar.

"I think they're a top team, a well established club. To test ourselves against these kind of teams and players is a good sign of the club's direction."

McKenna made 10 changes to his starting line-up for the cup meeting between the sides eight days ago.

The Northern Irishman is expected to rotate his team once again for the Championship contest with Wrexham.

Despite the possible raft of personnel changes, Phil Parkinson feels Ipswich's approach to the contest will remain similar to how it has done throughout the campaign so far.

"First of all, when the [FA Cup] draw came out, it was a double-header and we've won the first one. Now the aim is to go another step in the league," said the Wrexham manager.

"Will it be a similar type of game? I expect them to set up in a similar shape. They've played the same shape all season.

"Different personnel I would imagine, they'll make changes, but so will we, so we'll see on the day."

Wrexham and Ipswich Town will hope to keep their respective play-off and promotion bids on track when they meet at Stok Cae Ras on Saturday (kick-off 15:00 GMT) for the second time in a week.

The Red Dragons beat a much-changed Ipswich side 1-0 in the FA Cup fourth round just last weekend.

Phil Parkinson's side are level on points with sixth-placed Derby County before the weekend's fixtures but after winning four on the bounce, Wrexham have since won just two of their past six (D2 L2).

The Tractor Boys have won six of their past nine (D2 L1) and are seven points behind second-placed Middlesbrough with two games in hand on the top two.

• This will be just the second league meeting between Wrexham and Ipswich, following their goalless draw in this season's reverse fixture in November.

• After their goalless stalemate with Wrexham earlier this season, Ipswich could draw 0-0 home and away to an opponent in a Championship campaign for the first time since 2016-17 (v Wolves).

• Wrexham have failed to win any of their past three home league games (D1 L2), with only bottom-placed Sheffield Wednesday (35) conceding more goals on home soil than Wrexham (24) in the Championship this term.

• Ipswich Town have lost just three of their past 20 league games (W12 D5), however, each of the three defeats came in away games.

• Ipswich Town have benefited from five own goals in the Championship this season, the most of any side, while Wrexham are joint-second in that category in the league (4, level with Millwall).

Ipswich Town forward Jaden Philogene will miss Saturday's Championship match at Wrexham (15:00 GMT) after suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury.

The 24-year-old has missed Ipswich's past five games since being forced off in the first half of their 3-0 Championship win over Blackburn Rovers on 17 January.

"He's had a little setback, unfortunately, when he tried to train with the group, so we're not exactly sure on timescale, but he won't be available this weekend and has had to take step back, which is a disappointment," head coach Kieran McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"It's not a serious one but the last stages of the rehab on those can be really tricky. You can get to a certain point almost training or almost non-contact training, but sometimes it can catch you and run on longer than you hoped."

McKenna has been given better news on midfielder Marcelino Nunez, who will travel with the squad to north Wales, having missed four games with an ankle injury.

But another forward, Wes Burns, remains sidelined along with Philogene after suffering a groin injury in the 2-1 win at Derby a fortnight ago.

Ipswich are currently fourth in the Championship table, seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

Puma's Rainbow ball will return to the English Football League as part of an on-going campaign against discrimination and homophobia.

The special edition rainbow ball was introduced in 2024 to mark LGBTQ+ History Month and will be used at every EFL game from 20 February until 1 March.

Manufacturers Puma will make a donation to Football v Homophobia for every goal scored with their rainbow ball across the Championship, League One and League Two.

The donations will help support education against homophobia and promote inclusion across the season.

The EFL have released a video, external to coincide with the campaign which features a Preston North End fan who was charged with a hate crime following homophobic chanting during an FA Cup fixture against Chelsea.

The rainbow ball will also feature in EFL partner EA Sports' FC 26 video game.

"The rainbow ball is a powerful symbol of the values we uphold across the EFL all season long," EFL chief executive officer Trevor Birch said.

"It not only reflects our longstanding commitment to ensuring the League is representative of all its diverse communities, but also reminds us that we all have a role to play in creating an environment in which everyone feels they truly belong."
