Fulham have confirmed teenage midfielder Seth Ridgeon has signed a long-term contract with the club.

The 16-year-old, who joined Fulham at the age of eight, described the deal as a "dream come true" and said the club is the best place for his development.

Speaking to FFCtv, external, Ridgeon said: "It's a very proud moment for me. I've been at the club since I was eight and gone all the way through, and now it's a dream come true to sign with my boyhood club to keep the journey going.

"Signing here for a lengthy period shows that Fulham produce young players and allow them to have the opportunity here.

"I think it's the best place to be for my development."

Ridgeon made the step up to under-21s football last season and captained England Under-17s at this summer's European Championship.

Fulham defeated Championship side West Bromwich Albion 1-0 in a friendly played behind closed doors on Tuesday.

Featuring 22 players throughout the match, the only goal came from Emile Smith Rowe as he slotted home from a Sander Berge through-ball.

Marco Silva's side will now travel to Portugal for a training camp, during which time they will face fellow Premier League club Nottingham Forest.

They will take on German club Eintracht Frankfurt at Craven Cottage on 9 August, before starting the new Premier League campaign at Brighton on 16 August.

Fulham are expected to sign Montpellier's 34-year-old French goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte in the next few days. (L'Equipe - in French), external

Chris A: The Khans typically leave their summer signings late in the window, but this time there isn't even a whiff of speculation, let alone action. It's genuinely worrying. We're supposed to be building a squad to push for Europe, at this rate we'll be battling to stay up.

Richard: Fulham's fan base is very frustrated with the lack of transfers, a mirror image of what has happened in previous seasons. We are not mollified by the painfully slow re-signing of Cairney and Tete whose contracts had expired - welcome though that is. Fresh blood is needed if the club is to develop. Wake up management!

Peter: Transfers? To little to late. I thought we would bring Palhinha and Harvey Elliott back.Hope Ryan Sessignon shines like the old days. Marco Silva is working hard to get the team to gel. Iwobi was a revelation. Sadly after 50 years of supporting my only team it will be the same old Fulham. Give us something to cheer. A trophy but not relegation.

George: Re-signing Nelson on a loan just shows the lack of ambition by our owners, we are more than happy finishing mid-table and show absolutely no hope of kicking on into Europe. Less than one month until the start of the season and yet again our business has been left too late.

Fulham Talker: As far as first signings go this will be very underwhelming. Our first move for a player is a loan and towards the end of July is a joke. Nelson is a good player but injuries are a concern, and it doesn't really improve our squad whatsoever. We can and should be doing better, and stop taking players from Arsenal.

Chris: We always take time to do our business, but we made no signings in January and it's clear we need to kick on. Marco indicated a couple of months ago the plans for the summer were in place and a month before the new season we have no new faces through the door.

Midfielder Josh King has signed a new four-year deal at Fulham.

The 18-year-old, who has progressed through the academy, made 11 senior appearances last season, eight of which came in the Premier League.

King told FFCtv: "I've been at the club for about 13 years now, so it's a long, long time, and I'm just delighted to be continuing and staying for another four years.

"I say to my family it's like a second home, and it's such a nice feeling to be able to stay here.

"Obviously I know a lot of people, I've got some good friends and made some really good connections, so it will be nice to continue that on."

Tony Khan, vice chairman and director of football operations, added: "Josh is an exciting young player. He has been with Fulham for many years and has consistently impressed and has developed well."

Arsenal have received an approach from Fulham to re-sign attacker Reiss Nelson.

The structure of the deal, which is likely to be a loan, is still to be finalised but talks are ongoing as all parties try to find a resolution.

Arsenal leave for their pre-season tour of Asia on Saturday and, with Nelson available to leave this summer, there could be a benefit in concluding any transfer before then.

Gunners academy graduate Nelson spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage, making 13 appearances under Marco Silva before his season was cut short by injury.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth's's £25m deal for goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic means only three Premier League clubs have spent less than £20m on transfer fees so far this summer - Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and, of course, Fulham.

In fact, the Whites are now the only side in the division yet to make any signings so far in the summer transfer window, but this could of course change if a deal for Nelson is completed.

Club captain Tom Cairney has signed a new deal until summer 2026 at Fulham.

The 34-year-old Scotland cap surpassed 350 appearances for the Whites last season and will embark on his 11th campaign at Craven Cottage.

He told club media:, external "I'm happy to sign for another year at this amazing football club. I'm delighted. It feels brilliant. It feels right. It's always been home.

"I've fully enjoyed the past three years in the Premier League, contributing on and off the pitch, and I just want to help take this club as far as I can. I'll always try to do that."

Tony Khan, Fulham vice-chairman and director of football operations, added: "A leader on and off the pitch, Tom has been present at so many pivotal moments over the past decade, enjoying play-off promotions, scoring vital - sometimes spectacular - goals, and helping to cement our position in the Premier League.

"He is a great person who the fans, his team-mates and all those associated with Fulham love."

All 20 clubs earn a share of Premier League prize money. The amount each club receives depends on their league position and number of televised matches.

Prize money consists of UK and international merit broadcast payments, equal shares, commercial revenues and facility fees.

All clubs received a central commercial payment of £7.9m and equal shares from UK (£29.8m) and international (£59.2m) revenues.

Clubs are also paid a facility fee for matches broadcast on domestic TV. Liverpool had 30 of their 38 league matches televised - more than any other club.

The BBC's search to find a new football expert is under way, with 12 content creators competing in Last Pundit Standing to win a role as BBC Sport's next football content creator.

The first two episodes of the show - co-hosted by former Watford captain Troy Deeney and YouTuber and football presenter James Allcott - are available to watch on iPlayer, as well as BBC Sport's YouTube channel and TikTok account, with new episodes every week until 11 August.

Kenny Tete has said he hopes Fulham "can push for more" after signing a new contract to 2028.

The right-back was out of contract at Craven Cottage and had been expected to join Premier League rivals Everton.

Speaking to FFCtv, external, Tete expressed his delight at extending his stay, citing the club's family atmosphere and his personal development as key reasons behind the decision.

"I'm really happy to have signed, for myself and for my family, and I hope I can give more for the fans in these three years, " said the 29-year-old.

"After my first year, I knew this was a family club, a really special club where I can develop. I want to be part of this group, and hopefully we can push for more."

Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan said he was "thrilled" at the news, adding: "Under Marco [Silva's] great leadership, Kenny is an integral player in the team.

"We are all very keen for him to stay with us, and I'm pleased that is now a long-term commitment, as we continue to prepare for another successful Premier League campaign."

Fulham are planning a move for 24-year-old Genk and Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare, who is also being watched by Manchester United and AC Milan. (Sun), external

Fulham's Kenny Tete may yet remain at Craven Cottage to dash Everton's hopes of securing the Dutch right-back on a free transfer.

Everton were confident negotiations were advancing towards a successful conclusion on a three-year deal – but Fulham have also offered the 29-year-old a new contract and are hopeful he will now step back from moving to Merseyside.

Manager David Moyes has made the position one of his summer priorities after 39-year-old Ashley Young was not offered a new contract, and despite veteran captain Seamus Coleman signing a one-year deal to take him into a 17th season at the club.

Tete had emerged as Everton's main target, but manager David Moyes may yet be forced to turn to alternatives, which could include Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters or his former right-back at West Ham, Vladimir Coufal.

Jake O'Brien, who was signed from Lyon as a central defender, performed consistently at right-back for Everton following Moyes' appointment in January after being ignored by predecessor Sean Dyche, while Scotland defender Nathan Patterson has also been used.

Fulham are one of two Premier League clubs yet to sign or sell a senior player this summer, along with Aston Villa, but it appears the west London side are attempting to remedy last season's lack of attacking incision.

They are reportedly pursuing a deal for 23-year-old Brazilian forward Romulo, who provided 17 goals and 10 assists in 33 matches last season for Turkish club Goztepe.

Six of those goals were penalties but his tally still compares favourably with Fulham top scorer Raul Jimenez, who scored 14 times - including five penalties - in 43 games.

Overall, as the graphic below shows, Fulham's shooting accuracy was the third worst in the Premier League in 2024-25.

They made an unrivalled 894 crosses in last season's Premier League, leading to 22% of their goals, but creative midfielders Andreas Pereira, whose Fulham future is in doubt, and Emile Smith Rowe often struggled to break down defences.

Pereira created 20 chances from open play, four fewer than Smith Rowe - with both men lagging well behind team-mate Alex Iwobi's impressive figure of 58.

Two attacking options, Willian and Carlos Vinicius, have left the club on free transfers, while Tom Cairney and Kenny Tete are both out of contract in a few days and yet to accept the offer of new deals. Wrexham and Everton respectively are circling.

Our chief football writer Phil McNulty spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside about Everton's transfer business this summer and where they are at in their pursuit of Fulham's 29-year-old Kenny Tete.

"I think the situation is that Everton probably thought they had a deal in place with Kenny Tete but Fulham are not quite letting go because he is very high value there," McNulty said.

"I spoke to somebody around Fulham who said he'd be a real miss if he left, a very good right-back, very experienced and gives them something in terms of that experience and quality and it sounds like they might just make one last offer to try and keep him. Whether that diverts him away from Everton, we don't know.

"It certainly does reveal that Everton will be looking at the right-back slot with Ashley Young going and Seamus Coleman's future still uncertain. Nathan Patterson has been in and out and of course, Jake O'Brien was outstanding last season but ostensibly he is a central defender so it will be interesting to see what happens.

"I did think they had a deal lined up for Tete but as we know for all these things, Everton won't be taking anything for granted and nothing is done until he signs.

"Fulham will be clinging on a bit and won't be letting him go without a fight."
