Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa is heading for fellow Championship side Portsmouth.

Inoussa, 24, joined Swansea for a significant fee from Swedish club BK Hacken last summer.

The former Sweden Under-21 international scored once in 29 appearances during an injury-hit first season at Swansea, but he will join Pompey on loan for the remainder of the season.

Following the additions of Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku this summer, plus the imminent arrival of Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga, Swansea are willing to let Inoussa depart.

He is under contract at the Welsh club until 2030.

Portsmouth

Abu Kamara returns to Pompey this season but he won't be alone in wanting to help the side rise higher in the Championship.

Former Portsmouth goalkeeper Alan Knight has died aged 65 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

Knight spent 22 years playing at Fratton Park, making 801 appearances between 1978 and 2000 – the record for a keeper at a single English club.

Pompey fans gave him the nickname 'The Legend' and after retiring he became both a coach and ambassador for the club.

Sheffield United

It looks like Sheffield United might be losing Callum O'Hare in what's been a tough summer amid off-field issues.

Cardiff City

It hasn't been too busy a summer for Cardiff City on their return to the Championship but fans will be interested to see how Jack Moylan gets on in the second tier after impressing in Lincoln's promotion campaign.

Bristol City bagged their first win of the season under new boss Michael Skubala on Saturday, the first goal coming from new signing Lorent Tolaj.

Among 10 summer signings at the time of playing Portsmouth, City have signed two of the three top goalscorers from League One last year, as well as a vast majority of players under the age of 25.

It is all part of a three-year plan to make it to the Premier League for the first time, as described by chief executive Charlie Boss.

Some might view players unproven in the Championship as a risk, but so far the two ex-League One strikers in Tolaj and Dom Ballard have both got themselves on the scoresheet and flung open the doors to their Championship accounts.

Time will tell if these signings will be dubbed genius or risky.

Bristol City

Bristol City boss Michael Skubala says it's unlikely any last minute business will be done today, but let's not rule it out just yet.

He's already brought in some talent that caught his eye as Lincoln City boss in League One:

Swansea City have been busy in this transfer window, with some notable additions alongside the significant sale of Ethan Galbraith to Stoke.

But the big talking point throughout the summer has surrounded the future of Zan Vipotnik, last season's 23-goal top scorer in the Championship.

As the clock ticks down towards tonight's deadline, the Slovenia striker remains a Swansea player, with the only bid we now of, from Hull City, falling well short of the Welsh club's valuation.

It will be a big plus for Swansea should Vipotnik stay, for many at the club anticipated he would move on in this window.

The Swans, meanwhile, are still in the market for a centre-back today, with Strasbourg's Soumaila Coulibaly looking like their top target.

Birmingham City

Birmingham City have secured some of their favoured players from last season - alongside some new names to get the fans excited.

Northampton have made their 11th signing of the window so far with Nottingham Forest defender Josh Powell arriving at Sixfields on loan.

Accrington Stanley have made a couple of loan additions to their squad with winger Joel Catesby from Everton and striker Charlie Warren from Bolton.

Shrewsbury have also been busy after bringing in Aston Villa defender Lino Sousa and 18-year-old Burnley forward Kian McMahon-Brown on season-long loans deals.

Chesterfield have signed Sheffield United striker Louie Marsh on loan for the rest of the season.

Middlesbrough defender Jack Daley has made the switch to Gillingham for the season after signing a new contract with the Championship side.

And midfielder Jayce Fitzgerald has joined joined Rotherham on loan from Manchester United.
