Live Reporting

Charlotte Coates and Ciara Fleming

  1. Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Kirsty Hanson is down and in a decent bit of pain here.

It's one of those nasty impact injuries on her knee. Should be OK to carry on but that'll certainly hurt in the morning.

  2. Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

Celin Bizet skips past a challenge and the ball drops to Ella Toone just outside the box but her volley skids wide.

  3. 'Everton's record at Anfield incredible'

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Karen Bardsley
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

I think as a player when you come to a theatre like Anfield, you want to raise your game and Everton's record here is incredible. Liverpool will want to right that immediately.

  4. Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

Beth England tries to make room for a cross on the right for Tottenham but she's harried into running out of play by her opposite forward Viviane Asseyi.

    That's great tracking back.

  5. Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Good work from Sam Kerr, the Scottish one, to get pas Maz Pacheco on the right wing.

She whips a wicked cross into the box but Honoka Hayashi stoops to head it clear.

An encouraging start from Gareth Taylor's side.

  6. Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

Villa are looking bright as they look to keep hold of the ball in the early stages but Brighton break and Kiko Seike tests Sabrina D'Angelo in the Villa goal.

  7. 'Liverpool trying to get forward'

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Karen Bardsley
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

Liverpool have taken a direct approach from the off and they look excited to get forward.

  8. Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Everton

Everton have won just two of their 12 opening fixtures of a WSL season (D2 L8). Indeed, they have suffered more defeats on MD1 than any other side in the competition.

They have won each of their last four away games at Anfield though.

    Which record will prevail today?

  9. Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

An early corner for the hosts is nodded clear by Shelina Zadorsky.

It falls to Jess Naz on the edge of the box but her first-time shot is blocked away.

  10. CLOSE!

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

A terrible pass from Shannon O'Brien towards her own defence and United spring forward but Elisabeth Terland can't direct her near post effort on target.

  11. Liverpool v Everton (12:00 BST)

    Karen Bardsley
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

I think Gareth Taylor will really want to stamp his mark on this team but I'm not sure if the club has given him the resources to do that in the transfer window.

I'm excited to see how Everton start here but they're not usually quick starters at the beginning of a season.

  12. Liverpool 0-0 Everton

Liverpool get in behind the Everton back line but before new skipper Grace Fisk can pick out a cross into the middle new summer arrival Ornella Vignola sweeps it behind for the visitors.

  13. Agreed Jill, I'm expecting a much more competitive battle for that 'best of the rest' fifth spot this season.

  14. Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

England boss Sarina Wiegman has taken her seat in the stand for this one today.

Keeping an eye on Michelle Agyemang perhaps?

Everton and West Ham are particularly interesting. They've got much improved squads, and the excuses for Sorensen and Skinner are going to be harder to find.

  16. Liverpool 0-0 Everton

    Emma Sanders
BBC Sport women’s football news reporter at Anfield

Everton have already started the derby mind games by switching ends, forcing Liverpool to play towards the Kop in the first half, which everyone knows they prefer to do in the second half.

The away fans are huddled in the corner of the Sir Kenny Dalglish stand and not in the Kop as they controversially were a few seasons ago.

  17. KICK-OFF

Away we go in the final four WSL matches of this opening weekend.

Let's have plenty of goals, please!

  18. 'Liverpool haven't replaced Smith'

    Liverpool v Everton (12:00 BST)

    Karen Bardsley
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

I think the key talking point around Liverpool is the loss of Olivia Smith and they haven't replaced her.

My main question will be, where will that attacking output come from?

  19. Liverpool v Tottenham (12:00 BST)

'You'll Never Walk Alone' rings out around Anfield as the Reds and Blues make their way out of the tunnel to rapturous applause.

Nothing quite like derby day is there?

Not sure about starting the season with one, mind.

  20. Can Hammers push higher up the table?

Tottenham v West Ham (12:00 BST)

Rehanne Skinner did a good job last season at getting the best out of her squad and West Ham showed more consistency.

It was a better transfer window for the club too as they managed to keep hold of their big-name players, such as top-scorer Shekiera Martinez.

But I think they look light in midfield in particular and still need to add more depth to challenge those higher up the table.
