This is the Arsenal performance that you expected.
Move the ball quickly, force the opposition backwards, spread them, and make them cover different distances. And, as soon as you lose the ball, win it back quickly.

No matter what, Fleetwood have had their moment, a goal against the Champions of England. Many sides won't do that, so good on Fleetwood and enjoy this.

It was the head of Rhys Bennett that Kai Havertz's strike bounced off.
That saved a certain goal.

Odegaard has come in at half-time, and is playing like a quarterback in front. He's picking the ball up, it's all he's done, and it's his switch out to the left-hand side that causes the problems.
And once the ball comes in from O'Neill, it's just a battle. The ball falls about, think who's going to get there, and Gyokeres just prods it past the goalkeeper.

It's not clicking for Peterborough, that second goal has sunk them.
Josh Feeney's pass goes straight out of play.
Fleetwood 1-1 Arsenal
Martin Odegaard pings a perfect ball over to Max Dowman. He brings it down and forces Jay Lynch into the save, which he palms out to Kai Havertz.
He fires over from about two yards away but it somehow got a touch.

Crispin McLean is the first to be shown a yellow card for a trip on Ceadach O’Neill.
Fleetwood 1-1 Arsenal
Arsenal look to be a lot slicker in this second half already, with Martin Odegaard pulling the strings in the middle.
Very, very tough for the League Two side now.
Bradford 2-0 Peterborough
Meanwhile, Peterborough manager Robbie Savage has his hands on his hips. His side win a corner but don't do much with it.

And that is Viktor Gyokeres' first goal this season.
Viktor Gyokeres (50 mins)
All square!
Ceadach O’Neill hooks a dangerous ball into the mixer and Viktor Gyokeres misses his initial kick before somehow bundling it over the line while on the floor.
It's scruffy but Arsenal won't care one bit.

Calm down people, the game isn’t over yet. And we see this all the time with Arsenal, all the possession, slow build up play, little to show for it. Fleetwood had only the one chance all half, born from an inexperienced young centre back being out-muscled. Only way is up.

A reminder that the winners tonight will be through to the quarter-finals.
Plenty to play for.

Martin Odegaard is involved right away as he lifts a ball into the box but Jay Lynch is sharp off his line to collect.
Adam Phillips (67 mins)
Having just wasted a great chance, Adam Phillips makes amends!
The substitute brilliantly wins the ball back, plays a one-two with Jake Beesley, and then unleashes from 20 yards out and sees his shot deflects off Lucca Mendonca and into the top corner.

Fleetwood have restricted Arsenal to very little and not many teams over the past couple of years have been able to say that they have restricted Arsenal.
It's a very promising first half, there's still a lot more work for them to do. We're only halfway through and judging by the last 10 minutes, I think the second half could be a long 45 minutes for Fleetwood. But they have done really well.
Bradford 1-0 Peterborough
Has to be 2-0? No! A great pass from Will Swan puts Adam Phillips in, but the sub's touch is too heavy and allows Peterborough keeper Alex Bass to rush off his line and grab the ball.

We're back under way in Fleetwood.
Marli Salmon and Jurrien Timber are the players to make way for Arsenal.

Strange start with the drone, but I think Fleetwood have been excellent.
I think they have done well when they have broken through the counter, which looked pretty dangerous at times. The goal was really good, really well taken, and then once they did get that lead, I think they sat in that block nicely.
