City are not letting Arsenal breathe here.

Brilliant from Beth Mead, little 1-2 she gets herself centre of the goal, straight at Bunny Shaw.

It's a better delivery from Alex Greenwood this time and City have another go at it.

Lotte Wubben-Moy is caught on the ball in her box by Aoba Fujino and City win another corner as they start to dominate.

Really well worked by City to find Beth Mead cutting in off the left. She takes a shot and hammers one but it hits Bunny Shaw.

Bet that stung.

Alex Greenwood swings it in towards Beth Mead at the near post but it's practically impossible to score from that.

Yui Hasegawa makes the run into the box and Sam Coffey lifts it through for her. Hasegawa can't bring it under but City do win a corner.

Kyra Cooney-Cross drills a ball into Alessia Russo in the box and she looks to pop it off for Kim Little but she wasn't quite on the same page.

The corner from Kyra Cooney-Cross swings out of play. Relief for City.

Lisa Baum causes problems down that right side as she goes past Niamh Charles and forces Ayaka Yamashita into a sharp near-post save.

Alessia Russo is striding forward but Ayaka Yamashita is sharp off her line to clear the danger.

The strong Arsenal following is belting out North London Forever. They occupy the area behind Anneke Borbe's goal.

Away we go at the Etihad Stadium.

Have Real Madrid given Arsenal tips on how to get at Man City?

Gunners boss Renee Slegers has her say: "We always see opportunities, of course, but at the same time, I was really impressed with Real Madrid yesterday. They made it very hard for Manchester City, especially in the first half.

"But of course, they’re a really strong team with a lot of individual quality, and what they’ve shown is that late in games, they always stay in it and come back. We have to be super-focused and see the opportunity."

Man City boss Andree Jeglertz is well aware of the threat Arsenal carry in the centre of the pitch. Former City midfielder Georgia Stanway starts for the Gunners today.

"Their central midfield is the engine of their team. So that is something that we need to make sure that we’re aware of," said Jeglertz.

"And also have some wingers who can challenge us and new players they’ve signed. There are a lot of different threats in that team so we can’t just focus on one or two things. We know them pretty well and they know us pretty well so it will be an exciting game."

The teams are out at the Etihad and it's a crackling atmosphere for two sides looking to win the WSL this season.

Many had Arsenal down as the favourites for the WSL title but their challenge may well be over if they don't pick up three points against Man City today.

What's very worrying for Gunners fans is that their side has scored just two goals this term.

Four games, four wins for Man City as they look to defend their WSL title.

Can they make it five today?

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Abbie Larkin: "We knew Villa was going to be a tough game, especially at their home ground but we are coming out here trying to give all we have.

"Obviously, coming back into the WSL, we’ve had a good run a little bit. I think all the girls gave their all out here today, going 1-0 down and being able to come back 1-1. There were a few chances that we could have secured those three points [with] but a draw is better than a loss."

On her goal: "When I’m in those sorts of places, I just try to tell myself to be confident. If I'm one-on-one with a player, I just shift that and try and get a shot off. That one went in today so I was happy with it."

On the competition for places: "Just coming off a good run last season got my confidence up and obviously not playing the first few games I just said I'm going to keep trying my hardest to get into the team. Hopefully, I've proved myself today to be able to secure my spot again."
