Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on coming from behind to beat Leeds in the Premier League on Saturday: "Many positives from the game. Obviously the way we reacted we managed to turn around the game in a really difficult context.

"So overall, especially after the [international] break, I am really happy with the result."

Ecuador international Piero Hincapie was carried off during the warm-down after Leeds, raising concern the defender has suffered an injury.

It is unclear how serious Hincapie's injury is, although he was seen clutching his right ankle as he was carried off by goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

He signed for the club on a permanent deal this summer, having initially joined on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Hincapie has suffered from muscular issues this term and now faces an anxious wait to discover whether he requires another spell on the sidelines.

Now, according to Arteta, it seems Zubimendi also suffered an injury during the warm-down.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on injuries for Piero Hincapie and Martin Zubimendi: "We had a training session planned for after the game for players that did not have enough minutes, and in two very unfortunate actions we lost two players. Not great.

"We need to assess them today and have further scans to see where they are then we will have a timeframe on how long they are going to be out for."

Arteta says defender Piero Hincapie and midfielder Martin Zubimendi, who both missed training earlier, are both doubts for tomorrow's game.

Both men suffered injuries during the warm-down following the win over Leeds on Saturday.

TWO injuries in the warm-down?! Can't remember anything like that before.

The Arsenal squad have already been out training this morning after their win over Leeds at the weekend as they prepare for the game against Lille in the Champions League.

There was no sign of Piero Hincapie or Martin Zubimendi with the rest of the players on the pitch though.

Hincapie got injured in the session that the players did after the game at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and there are pictures on social media of him having to be carried off the pitch.

Zubimendi also seems to have picked up a knock and Mikel Arteta will be able to update us on the issues they have.

Highlights: Arsenal survive scare to come from behind to beat Leeds

Defending champions Arsenal picked up where they left off at the start of this season's Premier League campaign, winning their opening four matches.

But that run ended with a chastening 3-0 defeat at in-form Brighton before the international break.

Mikel Arteta's side returned to action at home to Leeds on Saturday and went behind before second-half goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes helped them get back to winning ways.

In the Champions League, the Gunners are 15th in the fledging table after the first round of matches following their opening 1-0 win away to Napoli.

Arsenal will of course be paying close attention to what happens next with Manchester City.

The Gunners are second in the Premier League, three points behind leaders City, so could well benefit should Enzo Maresca's side be given a points deduction this season.

Mikel Arteta was asked about his time working at Manchester City during his news conference before Saturday's Premier League win at home to Leeds United.

He said that his conscience was clear over City's Premier League rule breaches during a period when he was assistant manager at the club.

The Arsenal boss worked under Pep Guardiola between 2016 and 2019, which overlapped with the nine seasons during which City have been found to have broken rules and disguised secret funding of more than £830m.

Arteta attempted to bat away questions, saying he wanted to "respect" the ongoing process.

However, towards the end of more than half an hour of questioning, he was asked: "You were at City for three-and-a-half years, is your conscience clear? You had a senior position there, is your conscience clear?"

    Arteta answered: "Yes."

His answer was one word, but it was arguably the most revealing part of the whole interaction.

It was the only occasion where the Spaniard did not in some way revert to his messaging about not giving opinions on the case until such a time as there is a resolution.

Thanks to cheating and a decade of illegal investment City can now afford £100m players and pay wages to Haaland rumoured to be over £500k a week. The irony of Anderson getting player of the match when Newcastle had to sell him to balance FFP sums it all up.

    Daniel, Newcastle Upon Tyne

The asterisk era: Stolen titles, cups and memories. Stolen from other players, fans and supporters. Managers who may have kept their jobs, staff sacked because their teams were relegated. Roy Keane said it best, echoing Clough - bin City’s titles and the medals.

    Tola, Newport

As a neutral fan supporting a team in the EFL, it seems clear that Man City have bought their way to the Premier league titles and are still doing so this season. I can't watch this anymore, it's sickening.

The rules were brought in to stop clubs going bust and save the community asset. Why does everyone now think it's OK to take it from the fans, many who were there before 2008? Sanctions should force the owners out and lifetime ban for board without impact to the fans.

I felt City fans were the victim too until yesterday. If they're going to celebrate being found guilty of cheating, throw the book at them.

Enzo Maresca kicked off his time as Manchester City manager with a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield but has since led them to eight consecutive wins in three different competitions.

City have a three-point lead over defending champions Arsenal at the top of the Premier League after starting with six straight victories.

They are also into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup following an opening win at home to Championship side Norwich and are eighth in the fledgling Champions League table following a 2-0 win at Porto.

I've had some amazing moments watching football with my dad and son over the years, but the guilty verdict on Man City is making me wonder whether I want to continue sharing those moments. It all feels fake. It's a sham. The whole league is a sham at the moment.

    Tim, Hitchin

It feels weird that Man City have been found guilty of 114 charges with NO repercussions at this stage but they carry on beating teams and taking points off them, strange situation and feeling! Action needed urgently, shouldn’t be allowed to do this!

    Chris, Ipswich

I'm a City fan. I'm going to wait until the appeal outcome, but if the Premier League findings are upheld and our owners stay, I'm off. I don't like cheats and liars. Being guilty means that the club we are isn't the one I fell in love with decades ago.

Manchester City goalscorer Erling Haaland told Sky Sports that victory at Liverpool was a "lovely moment":

"Every single person part of Man City, and every fan, this is a lovely moment that will stay with us for a long time.

"It was tough, it was hard but we showed amazing character from back to front. So proud of everyone.

"It's always tough to come here, if you look at the record it's tough. With the Pep and Klopp era it was tough for both teams, always has been.

"Important to stay strong mentally, stick together and do what you can do something about and the thing we can do something about is to play good football and fight together. That's the only thing we can do."
