There's been a bit of a buzz on the touchline for a while before the players took to the pitch and that is because new signing Bruno Guimaraes has just been unveiled.

He gets a huge reception from the fans inside the stadium and waves to the crowd.

The midfielder is not involved today but Arsenal have another game at the Emirates against Como on Wednesday.

City have been decent here.

Looks like they're shaping up well for the Community Shield with Arsenal next week.

The ball is hooked to the far post and there is Claudio Echeverri but he can't make the contact needed and spoons it over.

Or swaz as the commentator just said.

Myles Lewis-Skelly starts in midfield for Arsenal today, but it has never been a straightforward journey into the Gunners' first team.

The 19-year-old's development has been rapid since his breakthrough in the 2024-25 season - he took his chance when injury was rife in the Arsenal squad to become one of the best young full-backs in the Premier League.

That form led to him breaking into the England squad and, in March 2025, Lewis-Skelly became the youngest man to score on England debut when he claimed the opener in a 2-0 win against Albania at Wembley.

A few months later, the academy graduate was rewarded with a new five-year contract.

What was most impressive about his breakthrough is that left-back is not even Lewis-Skelly's natural position.

The teenager came through Arsenal's Hale End academy as a midfielder and has always maintained that is his best position, even if the role of full-back provided him the platform to showcase his talents in the Gunners' first team.

Matheus Nunes takes the ball about 30 yards from goal and hammers one on target but Salvi Esquivel punches clear.

A good bit of swerve on that one.

It has been a weird first half from Chelsea.

The Blues started strongly, but Johor Darul Ta'zim came into the game and started to control the majority of the first half.

Arif Aiman scored an easy tap-in to break the deadlock, and Oscar Arribas had two golden opportunities to double the lead.

However, Liam Delap, who isn't having his best game managed to score the equaliser.

All to play for in the second half.

An update on Ronald Araujo, who flew to the North West this morning to complete his medical and other formalities before completing his season-long loan move to Liverpool from Barcelona.

With neither Joe Gomez, Giovanni Leoni or Jeremy Jacquet in the squad today, that tells you all you need to know about Liverpool's situation at centre-back.

Araujo, 27, is primarily a centre-back but can also play at right-back. Liverpool do have an option to buy for 55m euros (£47.2m) but for now, this seems very much like a case of Liverpool responding to their injury crisis, rather than seeing the Uruguayan as someone for the long-term.

Omar Marmoush and Savinho's races are run as Rayan Ait-Nouri and Claudio Echeverri come on for the final 10 minutes.

Oh, Liam Delap...

A fantastic ball from Nicolas Jackson and he plays Delap through on goal.

He hits the ball into the ground and it goes wide. That was a poor miss.

The Blues are now on top. They will not want half-time to come.

You never really felt confident he'd find the back of the net as Salvi Esquivel makes the save.

Jamie Gittens has been poor in defence, but he has some fast feet and he manages to win a free-kick. And for some reason, Liam Delap clashes with Eddy Israfilov.

The referee gives Delap a yellow card.

One of the commentators has no idea who Lee Kang-in.

Didn't seem to know he's a two-time Champions League winner with PSG and that he's very talented.

Every day's a school day, I guess.

Oscar Arribas has a shot from the edge of the box, but it is a comfortable save for Teddy Sharman-Lowe.
