Brentwood Town 3-1 Dagenham & Redbridge

It's been a debut to remember for Brentwood Town's Alfie Cerulli.

Signed yesterday from Billericay Town on a 28-day loan, the second-half substitute scores two brilliant freekicks to take home the Man of the Match award.

It's fair to say Brentwood may already be thinking about trying to get an extension on that loan...

A thoroughly deserved win for The Blues over a Dagenham and Redbridge side that started well but took their foot off the gas as the game progressed.

This is the first time in eleven years that the Isthmian League Premier Division side have reached the fourth round of FA Cup qualifying.

A memorable afternoon for Brett Munyard's side in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

Dieng's deflected strike pulls one back for Dagenham

    Dagenham have pulled one back!

It's the substitute Timothee Dieng who bursts into the right hand side of the penalty area before unleashing a powerful right footed effort.

The strike takes a deflection off a Brentwood defender, causing it to bobble over the dive of Jack Giddens in the Brentwood goal and into the back of the net.

  6. Postpublished at 80 mins

Brentwood Town 3-0 Dagenham & Redbridge

Dagenham look absolutely shell shocked here.

Brentwood are hungry for more goals and it's that man Alfie Cerulli again who's causing all sorts of trouble for the visitors.

A quick throw in catches Dagenham's defence off guard, allowing Cerulli to get in behind on the left before cutting in and trying to curl a strike into the far corner.

His effort is tipped wide by Dagenham goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore and the ball is agonisingly missed by Benas Vaivada for a tap in on the goal line, who clatters into the post for his troubles.

Any hope of a comeback from the visitors looking incredibly unlikely at this stage.

'Quite brilliant' - debutant Cerulli's freekick doubles Brentwood's lead

OH MY GOODNESS, HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!

This time, it's a brilliantly worked indirect freekick inside the penalty area after a back pass offence from Dagenham.

Everyone is expecting the ball to be laid off in front but instead it's played backwards for Alfie Cerulli to run on to and roll around the wall, leaving goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore no chance in the Dagenham goal.

  13. Postpublished at 40 mins

Brentwood Town 1-0 Dagenham & Redbridge

Dagenham & Redbridge maintain the lion's share of possession, but the home side are beginning to show their ability to strike on the counter.

A cross from the right flies over the heads of the Dagenham central defenders and bounces into the path of Malachi Linton.

An awkward half-volley attempt follows as the ball is hit high over the cross bar, but the home side are starting to look dangerous once again.

  14. Postpublished at 30 mins

Brentwood Town 1-0 Dagenham & Redbridge

A big chance for the visitors to get back on level terms isn't taken.

George Marsh plays a delightful ball over the top to get Samuel Adenola in behind, but the right back's effort is easily saved by Jack Giddens who does well to rush out and close the angle at goal.

  15. Postpublished at 18 mins

Brentwood Town 1-0 Dagenham & Redbridge

Dagenham have responded well to falling a goal behind, making use of the left-hand side of the pitch.
