  1. CLOSE!published at 20:02 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

Pelle Mattsson gives away a dangerous free-kick to the Saints with James Ward-Prowse looming over ready to take.

He curls it at the net and it's not too far off but just drifts wide.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:00 BST 14 October

    QPR 0-0 Derby

Yes, that's Sondre Langas' night done.

He's replaced by Ryan Nyambe, a right-back, with no central defenders around to take his place for the Rams.

  3. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:00 BST 14 October

    Lincoln 0-0 West Ham

The last time these teams met in the league Harry Belafonte's Mary's Boy Child was number one, keeping The Everly Brothers off top spot with Wake Up Little Susie.

A lot has changed since December 1957.

We're under way at Sincil Bank.

  4. Postpublished at 19:58 BST 14 October

    QPR 0-0 Derby

Sondre Langas does excellently to deny QPR's Rayan Kolli before he can get a shot away.

Perfect timing but his reward is not without sacrifice. Looks like he's done himself a mischief here and that's not good news for a Derby side already light in defence.

  5. Postpublished at 19:57 BST 14 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Blades not far away at the other end as a Tahith Chong corner from the right is swung in deep with his left peg, curling over Nico Schmid and flashing inches past the far post.

  6. 'Bright start for Saints'published at 19:56 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

    Adam Blackmore
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Saints are blessed in that engine room with Downes and Ward-Prowse.

    It's been a bright start.

  7. Postpublished at 19:56 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

Ryan Manning takes a punt at goal for Southampton but it's nothing to stress the hosts.

    Just warming up, this one.

Here are those empty seats in Fratton Park's Milton End that I mentioned earlier.

Despite a bit of a quiet start inside the ground, Portsmouth have looked sharp on the pitch as they look to strike early.

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has been at the heart of things for the hosts so far and a few of his bursts forward have got the crowd on their feet.

  9. Postpublished at 19:54 BST 14 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Pinball in the Blades box after the hosts win a corner, with a couple of sliced clearances and an air-kick or two from the hosts but eventually Jayden Meghoma sees a shot from outside the box charged down and the pressure is finally released by an offside flag.

  10. Postpublished at 19:53 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

Another opportunity for Norwich as Andre Brooks is allowed some space. He cuts it to Anis Ben Slimane in the box, poorly, allowing Southampton to take possession.

Open start to this one. Canaries are getting a look in but that pass from Brooks lacked quality.

  11. Postpublished at 19:52 BST 14 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Regan Poole to the rescue for Pompey with a crucial tackle after keeper Nico Schmid races out of his box to head clear a bouncing ball, only for Patrick Bamford to pick it up on the left and try and work an angle to get a shot at the unguarded goal away.

  12. 'Schwartau will be disappointed'published at 19:51 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

    Iwan Roberts
Former Norwich striker on BBC Radio Norfolk

Oscar Schwartau will be disappointed but I think he did the right thing by switching it onto his right foot.

    That's a good chance.

  13. Postpublished at 19:50 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

Norwich have the first real chance of the night as Oscar Schwartau bursts past Saints debutant Zach Abbott into space into the box.

He lets loose but strikes it wide.

  14. Postpublished at 19:50 BST 14 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Very direct stuff from the Blades, who have Tom Cannon and Patrick Bamford in attack.

The first glimpse of goal comes at the other end, however, as Ryan Kavuma-McQueen's shot from the right of the box deflects behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

  15. 'Saints will know Norwich are shaky in defence'published at 19:48 BST 14 October

    Norwich 0-0 Southampton

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk commentator

Southampton will know that Norwich will be shaky defensively. It's a worry but Norwich have to put that right.

  16. Postpublished at 19:47 BST 14 October

    Portsmouth 0-0 Sheff Utd

Absolutely frenetic start to this one, Pompey have obviously got a point to prove after Sunday, but the Blades, in their white change strip, have begun in fast and furious fashion, piling the pressure on in the opening exchanges.

  20. Some empty seats at Fratton Parkpublished at 19:42 BST 14 October

Portsmouth v Sheffield United (19:45 BST)

A very good evening from Fratton Park where Portsmouth will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways tonight.

This is their first match since being beaten in Sunday's South Coast derby when they narrowly lost to Southampton.

Sheffield United will be hoping tonight to pick up the points themselves after their impressive win over Lincoln City on Saturday.

There's talk of a lower attendance for the hosts tonight following Sunday's frustrating defeat by their Hampshire rivals.

We'll keep you updated if it looks to be lower numbers compared to usual here in Portsmouth, it does feel a little bit flat so far with a fair few empty seats over to my right in the Milton End.
