The energetic countdown to kick-off from the announcer is spoiled a bit by the referee ordering a restart, before Leeds get this pre-season friendly under way.

Out come the players onto the pitch. There are empty seats at Soldier Field but plenty of Liverpool shirts in the stands.

It's fair to say it's nowhere near a sell-out but there's still a healthy crowd in here at the home of the Chicago Bears, which has a capacity of 62,500.

The Liverpool line-up is a lot stronger than the team we've seen in their other two games out here so it's certainly a case of saving the best till last.

Mind you, the pitch does not look great and the ground-staff are watering it again right now. There was a game here last night with Robert Lewandowksi scoring twice for Chicago Fire as they beat a Charlotte side, managed by Dean Smith.

Warm-ups done, not long until the teams are back out in Chicago.

This game is taking place in Chicago at Soldier Field, home of the NFL side Chicago Bears and MLS side Chicago Fire.

It's a fairly strong Liverpool side with both Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz making their first appearances of pre-season. Interestingly, Rio Ngumoha starts down the right again but there is no Jeremy Jacquet in the Liverpool squad.

Iraola had said earlier in the tour that he hoped Jacquet could feature against Leeds but Liverpool aren't rushing anything after the 21-year-old felt some discomfort earlier in the week. So it's Luke Chambers and Ifeanye Ndukwe again at centre-half.

Leeds hand a start to summer signing Tarik Muharemovic but fellow new arrival and former Liverpool man Harry Wilson is on the bench.

Last season's top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns from injury to take his place among the substitutes.

Pre-season has gone well so far for new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola, with wins against Wrexham and Sunderland.

Tonight they take on Leeds as they look to conclude their USA tour with another victory.

For Leeds, it has been one loss and a win so far on their summer tour and they too will be hoping to round it off in positive fashion.
