    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

Some other sides with a 100% record are in action in the early games too.

Juventus are among them and they are leading against Rennes so they top the Europa League table, but Sunderland are right behind in second at the moment.

    Jablonec 0-0 Brighton

    Adam Virgo
Former Brighton captain on TNT Sports

We were fairly critical of their start in the opening game against Kauno Zalgiris in terms of just lacking that bit of quality.

There's so much more of an intent and purpose from Brighton to find that early goal.

    Jablonec 0-0 Brighton

I don't think Jablonec have got out of their own half yet and we're almost a quarter-of-an-hour into this game. All Brighton.

  5. Postpublished at 17:56 BST 22 October

    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

    Close again for the hosts.

They work it well down the right and a ball in behind the defence finds Pablo Rodriguez but he's having to stretch and can only poke into the side-netting.

I'm going early here, but I don't think the scoring is done at 1-0.

    Jablonec 0-0 Brighton

Brighton continue to create the chances as Ibrahim Osman works a bit of space between himself and his marker inside the box and then whips a low strike aimed at the far corner, but it goes wide.

    Exciting game this one.

Sunderland's turn to attack and Nilson Angul drives in field before laying off for Habib Diarra but his effort is tame and is comfortably saved.

  9. 'The cross is putting it on a plate for Tutierov'published at 17:52 BST 22 October

    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

Credit Angulo for only taking one touch to set himself up, and what a brilliant ball! The vision is there, and the execution of the cross is putting it on a plate for Tutierov who sticks it away. It's a good header but it's all about the assist.

    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

It's been all Lech Poznan since the goal.

There's a bit of pin-ball in the Sunderland box and the ball drops for Patrik Walemark but he drags an effort wide.

    Jablonec 0-0 Brighton

Brighton are showing plenty of early intent as they continue to press the home defence and Pascal Gross is the next to have a shot on goal, but his effort is over.

  12. Postpublished at 17:50 BST 22 October

    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

Lech Poznan have responded well to the goal. They've forced Robin Roefs into a couple of saves.

They want a free-kick on the edge of the box too but referee Balazs Berke waves their appeals away.

  13. 'Sunderland have got to keep going'published at 17:48 BST 22 October

    Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderland

    Gary Bennett
Ex-Sunderland defender on BBC Radio Newcastle

Excellent. It’s all Angulo. A good cross in. Good header.

You've got to start right, now what Sunderland have got to do is keep going. We can't fall back now.

  14. Postpublished at 17:48 BST 22 October

    Jablonec 0-0 Brighton

An early test for the Jablonec goalkeeper as Jack Hinshelwood has a go from outside the box, there's decent power behind the shot but Jan Hanus is able to push the ball away.

GOAL - Lech Poznan 0-1 Sunderlandpublished at 17:47 BST 22 October

    Timur Tutierov (2 mins)

    What a start!

This is a mess from Lech Poznan.

It is a short pass from goalkeeper Mateusz Lis and Nilson Angulo nips in and crosses for Timur Tutierov.

He powers a header home for his first Sunderland goal. A good time to get it.

We’re expecting fireworks. We’re expecting noise.

Those who watch Poznan regularly tell us we’re in probably the best football atmosphere in the world because it’s so loud, so raucous and so volatile.

  19. 'It's very important to have this competition'published at 17:42 BST 22 October

    Jablonec v Brighton (17:45 BST)

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler speaking to TNT Sports about the changes: "I wouldn't say we have two teams. I think it's important to manage the energy of the players. All the players who are playing today they have the quality to play in the Premier League. And all of the players who are playing currently in the Premier League they have to keep going because the others are there to compete with them. For us it's very important to have this competition. It always makes teams better.

"These games are really good to give opportunities to players to perform and we give them these kind of opportunities not only because we have to manage the energy it's also because they deserve it. Every player who is on the pitch today deserve to be on the pitch. I think that’s very important to emphasise as well."

On their opponents: "Really impressive. We saw the [previous] games. Well structured in and out of possession, they'll be a tough opponent. We have to be ready for that."

On his 100th game in charge: "I go game by game, if it's 100 games of course it's something special. Great to be part of the journey, it’s great to be part of this amazing club. Hopefully we can keep going."

  20. 'When it's more demanding, it's the best place to learn'published at 17:41 BST 22 October

Lech Poznan v Sunderland (17:45 BST)

    Sunderland

Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris, speaking to TNT Sports before the game starts: "We earned it last season, and it's a privilege to be in this position. Playing in Europe is a privilege, a learning process and it's demanding, but we have to stay creative and demanding."

On six players in the starting line-up being 23-years-old or younger: "You need to play games and I think at the top level, it's much better because you will struggle, [but] you will show your qualities as well.

When it's more demanding, it's the best place to learn. Those players are talented, they need time and support, but I'm sure they will be rewarded."
