That was a huge win for Gerwyn Price. He was in control of the game so if he'd lost I think it could have been detrimental to his chances. He's almost there.

Gerwyn Price talking to Sky Sports: "I think I should have been 5-0 up. I gave him leg after leg. We were both a bit edgy in that game I think but I certainly was, I could feel it with the doubles I was missing and that was is probably from not playing enough and not having the match fitness."

Gian van Veen talking to Sky Sports: "My quarter-final win was a big win. There are only two nights left to go so I need the points tonight and next week.

"I am behind them so I need the points. I need to win this game and probably the night or next week. I'm still in the running even though I've not playing my best and the medical difficulties I've had. I've got some strength out of that."

So a win for Gerwyn Price secures his spot in the play-offs but Gian van Veen desperately needs the points if he is to keep his final four dream alive.

Luke Littler wanted to get top spot sealed at the first possible opportunity and he was ruthless and he didn't really give Jonny Clayton a chance.

He'll want the records now and then getting his title back. He's coming into form at a great time.
