Summary

  1. NZ 96-3published at 28 overs

A good stop from Ben Duckett, getting down to his right to stop a Rachin Ravindra drive that seemed destined to reach the cover ropes.

Daryl Mitchell then offers an elaborate leave to Shoaib Bashir and sees the ball spin sharply, deflect off his arm and... fly just past the stumps.

  2. NZ 95-3published at 27 overs

A maiden for Ben Stokes, but four runs off the over as the England captain's fifth delivery clips the body of Daryl Mitchell and races past the leg slip to the boundary.

New Zealand's lead extends to 179.

Another night on the black stuff beckons for Irish cricket fans!

It also leaves West Indies hopes of making the semi-finals in doubt.

This partnership is now worth 35 as we head into the drinks break.

  8. NZ 84-3published at 22 overs

Singles for Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra book-end Shoaib Bashir's third over.

We're entering the last hour of play here.

  9. NZ 82-3published at 21 overs

Rachin Ravindra takes two through point off Ben Stokes' opening delivery, and the England captain then sees Daryl Mitchell inside edge a four to fine leg.

Josh Tongue is out there and should collect comfortably, but he rather lazily only puts one hand down and manages to deflect the ball back through his legs and onto the ropes.

Quite a lot of glowering from Stokes at that bit of fielding.

Orla Prendergast has just reviewed a caught behind decision and is unbeaten on 63.

Would fancy Ben Stokes to bring himself on for Josh Tongue. Aside from that one edge, he's not quite bowled the right line and length as other bowlers and it's relieving the pressure Gus Atkinson and Jofra Archer are piling on.
