India probably still need to get another 20 or 30.

This is now Bumrah's highest score in ODI cricket in his 91st game in his 27th innings

Bumrah is putting on a bit of a show here.

    Sensational over, sensational hitting.

India were going nowhere, Bumrah's done a good job. He's also just taken some of the pressure off Shreyas Iyer.

  5. Ind 232-8published at 43 overs

Make that two boundaries for Jasprit Bumrah! The first is sumptuous. The second is a top edge over the wicketkeeper. Bowler Saqib Mahmood wants leg byes. It was all bat, signals Bumrah.

Oh wait... it's three! Swishing through mid-wicket for four more.

And finished with a helicopter SIX! No wonder Bumrah is grinning.

    18 off the over.

  6. Ind 218-8published at 42.1 overs

Right on cue. Behold, a boundary!

Jasprit Bumrah picks a gap through mid-wicket for four.

  7. Ind 214-8published at 42 overs

Another lifeline for Jasprit Bumrah. The ball pops up off the shoulder of his bat and lands behind the slips, probably the only gap in the cluster of fielders.

Four singles. India have only scored three boundaries since the end of the 30th over.

Today's game was just the sixth time Jofra Archer has bowled his full 10 over quota before the 40 over mark in ODIs - four of these six instances have come in the last two years under Harry Brook.

This has been a much improved performance from the England team in general. Having the luxury of that extra seamer has benefited the bowlers, but I think Harry Brook’s captaincy has been a lot smarter.

  10. Ind 210-8published at 41 overs

Jasprit Bumrah inside edges his opening delivery and Jos Buttler splats down to his left to stop the ball from running away to the rope.

Joe Root is moved into the slips. Jacob Bethell is under the helmet around short leg.

Saqib Mahmood ends up down on his haunches as Bumrah's next effort drops just short of gully.

Bumrah finishes the over with two defensive dots. Wicket maiden.

Saqib Mahmood must be thinking he's got a chance of going bang-bang and finishing this off.

That was the indeterminate length which confused the batter and he sliced the drive. Well bowled again. England are getting wickets at nice times.

He ducked into that, he didn't move. He stood there and let it thud in.

Gurnoor Brar sways away from a short delivery from Jofra Archer and punches two fuller ones into the covers. Two. Two.

He wears a short delivery on his body - dropping his bat and going for a walk in the aftermath - but takes a single off the next one. Well navigated.

Shreyas Iyer dots out the over. Archer finishes with figures of 3-47.

The last time four England pace bowlers each bowled three or more overs in a home ODI was back in 2023 against New Zealand - the addition of an extra quick has certainly benefitted Brook's flexibility as captain today compared to in Southampton.

Jofra Archer (3-42) is going to bowl out.
